I was approached by my client (and dear friend) Jacqueline Nichols to give her wardrobe a full makeover. She is owner and founder of Discover Love Matchmaking and achieved some milestone successes with her business recently. This triggered a desire for a rebirth in her personal style that’s more of a representation of her new chapter. She described her new vibe as “Sunday afternoon Executive; feminine and commanding”. After our Q&A, I hit the street of NY with a sustainable approach. Everything was on its second life cycle (vintage & thrift stores) plus suitable to mix and match in order to get maximum use.
Here’s an overview of what we ended up with, plus just a few of my favorite outfit options (there’s plenty more). Two items still had original tags. Brands include: DVF, Nicole Miller, Escada and Bill Blass. Total spending for clothes and accessories: $300.
In the details: you may have noticed the heart necklace that represents Discover Love, but did you notice the xoxo in the sweater/earring combo (X’s ins the sweater and the O’s with earrings)?
