OUR DRUMS ARE OUR BRIDGE. And we will continue to sing. We will continue to drum and we will continue to meditate.
After a Native American Elder being mocked by youth with “ Make America Great Again hats” there is so much that we can do in response. I met this dear elder Nathan at Standing Rock, a deeply respected man for his resilience. We WILL continue to drum without being wavered. We will continue to sing focused in our inner love honoring our connection. Nathan wasn’t drumming alone. I have been drumming the past few days, thousands have. Even if they aren’t visible in this video. We have got each other’s backs. We are drumming for Nathan AND for American Youth and so many more. May The truest versions of ourselves be RESTORED. May the young dismembered youth be RECONNECTED again to what we know. May we continue to rise TOGETHER. It is crucial to leave our hatred aside to continue to drum with the FOCUS we need. :::
“They went from mocking us and laughing at us to singing with us. I heard it three times,” Frejo said. “That spirit moved through us, that drum, and it slowly started to move through some of those youths.” Eventually a calm fell over the group of students and they broke up and walked away.” :::
May the great Spirit in us rise to meet us. A teacher of mine once said: In your meditation if the devil shows up, make the devil meditate. Are you drumming with us ? #Weberising #drum #drumming #nathan #makeamericagreatagain my peeps here at the Oregon eclipse festival a couple of years ago after drumming the whole night ((((())))) Smiley, Gladys y Juanito ! #10thousanddrums #onemilliondrums
