Back to training again today after a long long run on the weekend.
Had a few days off with tendonitis in my ankle. Lots of hard training big runs and experimenting with different shoes has played a toll on my body.
Taking some of my own advice for a change and listening to my body. Giving it some down time.
When preparing for an event or training hard in general always allow days of full complete rest with nothing on the cards. Make sure to design your workout weeks/months resting certain movements or muscle groups for days at a time to allow full repair and recovery. If not you may end up like me with some tendonitis putting you out for even longer, Or possibly a worse injury.
For beginners a simple guide is full rest every 3rd day if you are reasonably young and healthy.
Prepping veggies makes it sooo much easier to eat them, and makes meals so quick and easy. Yesterday we did burrito bowls and today we were inspired by this cooler weather and made ramen with the roasted root veggies in about five minutes. 🙌🏻 It’s always noodle season!
