One of my favorite things to make for breakfast! •
I started with a bed of arugula and then added in some roasted veggies from earlier in the week. Threw in some white sweet potatoes. Made scrambled eggs and then topped all that with hot sauce and homemade guacamole.

Super easy. Super quick. Super tasty. Super colorful.

“OMG you eat (insert taboo food here), but aren’t you a dietitian?!?!” - Unfortunately there appears to be a misconception that dietitians are these magical unicorns that never eat sweets, salty snacks, desserts etc. Sorry to burst the bubble but we are regular people and enjoy those foods too, just like everyone else.

To become an RD and pass our exams we weren’t judged on our bodies. There was no bikini competition. And when we graduated our taste buds were not removed (Thank you @orlawalshnutrition for reminding us of this).
°
While Dietitians are experts in nutrition and promote health/ wellbeing we also know that subjecting yourself to overly restrictive eating patterns is ultimately a recipe for failure. Food should be enjoyed but the notion of everything in moderation still applies.

To enjoy the treats that you like while being mindful of your health you can:
--》Choose smaller portions of your favourite snacks and treats less often
--》Have one cookie/ treat with a piece of fruit instead of 2-3 cookies/ treats
--》Portion out a small bowl of snacks (i.e chips) instead of eating from the bag
--》Enjoy a golf ball size scoop of your favourite icecream on top of fruit or nut butter

After a super full day of sweating, berry picking and shopping around in this heat, I wanted an easy, no-mess dinner 🤷🏼‍♀️ Whipped this up with some brown rice (frozen from TJ’s), leftover greens, chickpeas, local tomatoes (so good), broccoli (that I cooked but forgot to put in my eggs this morning), prepped chicken and some green goddess dressing from TJ. Microwaved the rice, threw everything else in the pan to heat and mix and there ya have it, made a bunch to have for this week too 🙌🏼 Hope everyone has a relaxing night and start to the week! #thewellful #easydinner

Whole30 Pecan Crusted Chicken •
Sometimes the best recipes come on those days when cooking is the last thing you feel like doing🤷‍♀️ •
-Organic chicken breast pounded to 1/4 inch thick
-1 pasture raise egg and 2 tablespoons cashew milk
-2/3 cup chopped pecans, 1/4 cup nutritional yeast, @saintluciferspice jalapeño, garlic powder, turmeric, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper

Dip chicken in egg wash, coat in pecan mixture, cook in cast iron skillet with a little avocado oil. Topped mine with a pasture raised egg from @cecil_creek_farm and roasted red peppers with fresh basil and olive oil and put it over fresh spinach @olivias_organics

It’s Monday but also LAUNCH DAY 👏🏼🚀👏🏼🚀 & thank goodness because I went WAY too overboard on sweets junk this weekend. Like wedding donut tasting kinda overboard. But as you can see here I waz nat mad about it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I even posted a progress photo with a donut/carb/sugar hangover. THATS a big deal 🤘🏼Still love myself and my body. A little treat after hard work for a month was well deserved 😈 These bad boys are gluten free and vegan and we’re getting 300 mini multi flavored donuts for our reception. YUP. WE PLAY NO GAMES WITH DESSERT 🍩Also, for clarification - diabetics can eat ANYTHING they please. As long as we stay on top of carbs and our ratios for insulin, we are all good. We have all of the freedom in the world. After 2 donuts, I was 148. So don’t judge! ⚡️

I went home for lunch and got my 40 minute sweat sesh done and LOVED the new moves for the program 😍I will say it’s a lot harder to move faster with a body full of artificial sweets and carbs. Flavor explosion at #limon last night,
the dinner restaurant which is having a soft opening in the new @lemonpressnantucket space on Main Street. Started with street corn topped with crema, hot pepper, mint, and a dusting of smokey spices. The Thai Tuna Tostada is like a spicy papaya salad topped with fresh raw tuna, peanuts and creamy curry sauce. Also shared but not pictured; Squash Blossom and Artichoke Quesadillas and Herbed Coconut Rice with Red Beans. 😭🤤

✏️ So I'm looking around at all the #motivationmonday pics and I WAS going to join in and add to it with my own little flava 🍦

But.... I'm not going to 🚫
.
Why you ask!? 🤔
.
Because let's be honest. While it's GREAT to see 👀 all the pics and posts of people sharing their stories, the truth is, #motivation only gets you so far 🛶🛴🚜
.
It's great in the beginning, and can sometimes, often, be a great way to get you to take those first steps 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
.
But it doesn't last. Typically it dies somewhere between Sunday night 🌙 and Monday morning ☀️
.
Now I got in today and put in some work 💪
.
However it definitely wasn't because I was motivated!
.
I worked outside all day in 90+ degree heat🌡️ with 100% humidity
.
I'm sore, tired, and cranky as fook (yes, it happens. Lol)
.
And I got in anyway. Because what drives me more than motivation is CONSISTENCY and DISCIPLINE, a long with a lot of PATIENCE
.
Now that it's done. I feel great! And I will remember THAT feeling for the next time. Sometimes I'll even write it down in my notebook to remind me that, although I may not be motivated right there and then, I have goals. And every step towards those goals makes me feel really freaking good 😃
.
Motivation is awesome! If you find it, hold onto it as long as you can. Because it will leave you sooner rather than later
.
But if you stay CONSISTENT, stay PATIENT, and DISCIPLINE yourself to do what needs to be done even when you may not feel like doing it, you'll soon look back and see how far you've come and how truly fucking awesome you can be! 😉😎🤩

I have just been enjoying the weekend, not on social media much but now I have a superrrrr yummy recipe to start the week of right!! •


SPINACH & FETA TURKEY BURGERS🤤 -For the burgers, mix together:
2 eggs
Garlic
Feta cheese (any is good, but we tried tomato basil)
Spinach
Ground Turkey
& thats it!! I left the amounts off because you can really add however much you like and just make it your own! -For the sandwich:
Rosemary sourdough bread from the farmers market (amazinggggg 😍), cucumbers and @bolthousefarms avocado green goddess yogurt dressing. It was SO GOOD like this but you could top it with anything you want!
When paired with @alexiafoods sweet potato fries made in the air fryer, it made the most perfect meal🍠😍

Nasi yg kita prep hari kedua dan seterusnya mmg akan jadi kering dan kurang sedap utk dimakan. Utk sejenis manusia mcm saya yang mmg tak kisah mmg bedal je. Tapi klu hangpa jenis tak boleh nak telan, just percikkan sedikit air atas nasi dan reheat balik.. kalau rajin boleh kukus. Nasi akan jadi fluffy dan fresh balik.

For the road!

Hey you guys! How has today been for all of you? My day has been GREAT! Work went so well! It was just a little orientation type-thing, but it still went great! Once I was done, I made my way to the gym for my session and I feel SO much better than I did before. I was feeling super “big” and “fluffy” and convinced myself that I was gaining weight just because my digestion has been off for a day or two. I DEFINITELY turned it around. My workout was KILLER, I pushed myself SO hard, and I got SO sweaty. 💪🏻 It was my plyometric session and I did a mile run after that! My legs were SO dead from the actual training, so I took it easy on myself with the run. Do I regret it? Nope. I feel GOOD, strong, and SO much less-stressed than before. 👊🏻 I stretched out, made my way home, got in my headstand practice, and am now SO hungry for my lunch! I can’t wait to dive in! I am having: my classic loaded salad with romaine lettuce, grilled chicken breast (in @traderjoeslist 21 Seasoning Salute), garbanzo beans, cucumber, carrot, bean sprouts (I LOVE these guys), spicy hummus, and sriracha for the top! I also have some air-popped popcorn for the side! 😍👅🔥 I wish I could explain how hungry I am but I CANT. I NEEEEEED food. 😅 Other than that, I still feel a little off, but SO much better than before. I know once I’m eat I’ll probably feel even better! I have some stuff to do around the house, so I’m off to that once I eat! I then have a snack, a walk, and foam-rolling later! I am changing up my routines and rigidity each and every day and I can already tell/feel how much I am improving with my own mentality and rules on my life. 🙅🏻 I hope you babes have a fantastic rest of your day! Sometimes I literally think I want to be a vegetarian 😂 Day 1 of the mindful nutrition program and it’s the one thing that I have always been missing!! You can workout until you’re blue 💎 in the face and meal prep all day long, but if you don’t get your mind right... well.. forget about it. Preparation is key for me! If I leave my house with a healthy lunch, healthy snacks, all my water, and superfoods I’m much more likely to stay on track. It takes the guesswork out of everything! Do you prepare or are you an in the moment type of person?

Easiest stir fry:
-cook rice noodles (it takes like 5 min) according to package
-cook half a bag of frozen veg -make a sauce w 2 tbsp of soy sauce and chili garlic sauce each, and 1 tbsp of rice vinegar and maple syrup
-add the noodles and sauce to the pan w the cooked veggies
-top w whatever you like: cilantro, lime juice, avocado, green onion etc
✨ easy & delicious

Serious Case of the MONDAY’S today!!! I usually sleep pretty well but last night I didn’t sleep well at all! ☹️ I woke up TIRED AF and could barley function!
I so badly wanted to hit snooze 5 more times, use to day as my rest day and skip my workout, call into work and just do nothing... While all this was running through my head, I also knew that I had a busy day ahead of me and that if I gave into my excuses I’d NEVER have the FREEDOM or the life I work so hard to have!
I have had a couple melt downs. I have have drank a few cups of yellow coffee and I have taken a short nap but I REFUSE to give in to my excuses and I WILL live my best life too!
And girl! You should too! You just gotta reach out babe and I’ll guide you all the way 💕

Off to Tampa for a few days for work/fam stuff, so Alex & I needed to whip up a quick meal before we headed out 😜 So first thought - PASTAAAA 😍👏🏻 I always love to get creative & fancy with pasta cuz it’s bomb with everything & super easy, but sometimes there’s nothinnnn better than the classics 💜 Ya feel?

& Mannnn this was good. It’s just linguine, meat sauce (sautéed beef with fresh garlic & herbs with roasted garlic & caramelized onion tomato sauce), sautéed broccoli (with a lot of the stalk!! We keep the broccoli stalks to sauté or cut into a slaw - it’s a great way to use what ya got & make less waste!!) 💚, && shredded asiago cheeez 😍😍 Nomnom.

The power struggle with these littles is legit! I know you feel me on this one friend. That’s why with my strong willed, tiny dictators I often “give in” and share some of that much desired control. Here’s some cinnamon to sprinkle on your oatmeal, a lime wedge to squeeze on your tacos, would you like a banana or an apple, offering two veggies at dinner and they get to pick one or simply giving them the option of the green or blue plate. I find giving them a choice helps, and they like feeling in control. When it’s you offering the options to begin with, it keeps you from scrambling when they are in complete tantrum mode or caving (a place we’ve all been). 🤫 Since a little bit of power goes a long way, that makes their little hearts happy. I know this isn’t always possible and won’t promise a complete end to those familiar foot stomping tantrums but I can say it makes the “power struggle” - less struggle!

In other real life news serving oatmeal, also know as the worlds messiest meal for children, when you also need to leave the house in under 30 minuets is not the wisest choice. The oatmeal was truly everywhere, both children had to be completely stripped down and while I was cleaning it up, The 1 year old peed on the floor. So if your Monday morning went any smoother than that... cheers to you friend! •

This pizza is 80% plants🌱🍕 That’s a made up statistic, but 90% of statistics are made up anyway right? It’s mostly plants.
One of my most pitiful food failures to date was an attempt at home made cauliflower crust pizza which ended up completely deteriorating. I’m still convinced anyone who’s successfully made one is a wizard.
Until I’m bestowed with those supernatural powers I’ll stick to my my @traderjoes frozen cauliflower crust pizza topped with organic chicken sausage and asparagus. Monday night dinner ✔️

This hot weather calls for your typical, burger, corn on a cob with a side of fries!

The one thing though about this burger, is that it’s packing some serious nutritional power 😉. Made with red lentils and chickpeas, these guys are packing fiber and a strong hit of protein, B vitamins, and iron. 💪

Just remember, even the simplest things can have a great impact on your health! AND you can still enjoy the simple foods that you’ve always loved! 😍😋 It’s a win-win situation all around. ✌️ You never have to feel like you’re compromising.

And one thing that I love to do when it comes to home-made burgers, is to make a large batch and keep the rest in the freezer for a later day. Making those dreaded hot days where you don’t want to cook, that much more convenient and bright.🌈

✅My version of Beef Bone Broth Soup with Vegetables.

✅This Soup is Rich in Minerals & Support the Immune System.

The Beef Bone Broth with •garlic•ginger•peppercorn •onion•cayenne powder•salt
was simmering for ▫️2 hours before I added vegetables (for best flavour)

I used vegetables that I like, namely:
▫️Taro
▫️Potato
▫️Daikon
▫️Green cabbage
▫️Scallions
▫️just before serving, I added fresh lemon juice and a little fish sauce. •
