Courage-strength in the face of pain or grief
In 2008 my mother was diagnosed with Leukemia. Shortly after this me and my sister began living in the house my mother was renting on our own with our aunt periodically when she could checking up on us. There wasn’t a day that went by I missed going to the hospital to see her, though she was most times weak from treatments or surgery. I looked down at that table every day while she was sleep sometimes almost begging that something turn around something change to make her healthier. Praying for her to get her health back and be the strong woman that had raised me my whole life by herself. It was in those moments that I realized I had 1 job and that was to exhibit courage for her, my sister and the rest of the people that loved her. She went to every single treatment, made it through every single surgery showing courage and ready to get through it every single day. Whatever your fighting whatever your going through will you stand in adversities face and give in or will you exhibit the courage and strength it takes to navigate life’s high points and low points ?
