Also, it's been too long since I had a @grenadeofficial carb killa and jaffa quake is top 3 for sure. That @barebells.uk salty peanut bar is sick as well! Quick and easy meals make it super easy to stay on track. I eat my 1st meal of the day at around 2pm. Eggs and egg whites are a great way to start the day. The option are endless. I like to use whatever veggies I have on hand to make all types of different omelettes and scrambled eggs. Veggies are a great way to bulk up your meals without the extra loads of calories. Also a great way to get some Micro nutrients. I like to add some healthy fats with a couple of tbs of Greek yogurt and avocado.
Today’s eggs consist of:
4 egg white, green bell pepper, red onion, grape tomatoes, green onions, and jalapeños for some heat. My eggs are top off with some organic spicy salsa, Greek yogurt and homemade guacamole.

To już za mną chodziło długi czas 💛
Mianowicie ziemniaki, ukochane ziemniaki, których tak długo nie jadłam, z tego względu że byłam jedną z tych, co myślą, że ziemniaki idą w boki. Zamieniłam to na ryż lub makaron, i tak se jechałam 😁
Nie mówię że to jakiś super błąd. Każdy jest inny. Mi to nie wyszło na dobre. Ziemniaki są bogate w potas, sycą (mnie o wiele bardziej niż ryż), w porównaniu do ryżu lub makaronu, osobiście mam pewność że są naturalne. Pakowane ryże i makarony, pomimo etykietek, niewiadomo skąd są i jak przebiegała ich produkcja, a że mam wrażliwy żołądek, ostatnio odrzucam coraz więcej tego typu produktów. Jeśli Wam nic się nie dzieje to ok, niestety ze mną jest inaczej. Uczę się cały czas o samej sobie. Poza tym że ziemniaki są bogate w potas, są również mniej kaloryczne od w/w konkurentów zapakowanych w woreczkach.
Dlatego z pewnością będą się u mnie teraz częściej pojawiać ♡ dzisiaj z jajkiem i ogórkiem gruntowym. Kocham takie "prosto, zdrowo i smacznie" 💚🍀💚🍀

How I’ve been eating and working out 🏋🏾‍♀️ (or not) these days and why..

Truth is I’ve been a little under the weather lately so I haven’t been exercising or lifting as much these days. Although I move every day my only workouts have been the ones you’ve probably seen on my profile for the last two weeks. Nothing intense, and I’m perfectly ok with that mostly because, I’ve learn to listen to my body and I eat according to my level of movement.
.
I either workout more so, I eat more OR, workout less so, I eat less.
.
If we work out intensely, 4-6 times a week our bodies will naturally ask for more food since we are spending more calories and taxing our 💪🏽 .
.
That doesn’t mean we eat everything in sight or eat every junk food we find (although 🍕 might be an exception 😬.
.
What we actually do if we want to attain fat loss and create a caloric deficit is eat more of the right kind of foods like protein, veggies, and dietary fats. These keep us satisfied longer, balance our blood sugar and help control cravings. They are also lower in calories than junk food so in return we will be eating less calories anyway! .
By matching this nutrition with activities that will help you burn even more calories at rest like weight lifting and HIIT, we create for ourselves THE best, healthiest, most sustainable and sane way to create a caloric deficit.🙌🏽

When we find ourselves working out less for one reason or another it would be good idea then to eat less and match our nutrition to our level of movement since our bodies don’t require as many calories.
.
When we get into trouble is when we assume the dieter mentality and think we can eat less and exercise more and get away with it. We can only survive on will power for so long and when that will power is gone your body will demand every little thing it was deprived from and more.
.
As one of my mentors @jadeteta Founder of @meteffect Metabolic wrote in his book Lose Weight Here: “Letting go of the Eat Less, Exercise More dieting model is the first and most critical step of getting your metabolism back on track so you can attack stubborn fat”.

Tonight's meal is mostly healthy...lol. The roasted garlic and parmesan cannelini bean puree on the bottom is so creamy and delicious, the sauteed arugula is a favorite of mine and hubby, the seared/roasted pork belly with skin from @southtownfarms came out PERFECT, and the tangy, spicy sauerkraut from @pickle_licious really topped it off from being roasted with it. I gave my hubby the thick layer of fat between the skin and meat because he loves it...lol. The rest of it I destroyed. 🙃 11 points on WW. .

What do you eat when you spend all day on your feet? I only worked half day today but carried on walking outdoors enjoying the beautiful sunny day. I love walking and less sitting down on the sofa! Apple Cabbage Stir Fry

Never would I have fried apples with cabbage but I did and it was actually good! I used a shredded slaw mix, seasoned with chicken broth, garlic, ginger, cinnamon, onion, coconut aminos, organic Dijon mustard, and threw in some leftover chicken and topped it with craisins and parsley.

Yes, the first step for losing weight is to eat less calories. And yes, you can lose weight eating quarter pounders every day if you end up eating less calories than your body burns (aka being a caloric deficit).⠀

And yes, a calorie is a calorie. But not all calories are created equal. If you want to lose the good kind of weight (FAT) and do it in a way that gives you energy and improves your health, IT MATTERS A LOT where the calories come from.⠀

In this infographic I'm comparing a quarter pounder with cheese to a chicken salad. As you can see, both have the same amount of calories, which means they'll have the same impact on your energy balance and ultimately your weight loss.⠀

However, the quarter pounder, which has lower food quality, unhealthy macronutrients (trans fats), and very little micronutrients, will not have the same impact on your body composition or health/energy as the chicken salad will.⠀

Not to mention, you'll be hungry 45 minutes after eating that quarter pounder, when the chicken salad can fill you up for at least 3 hours...which in the end, will help you sustain your diet a lot more easily. And SUSTAINABILITY of a diet is key for long-term fat loss. ⠀
