This was a bulletin board that I volunteered to make for our school! It was displayed in the cafeteria and I cannot explain to you guys how involved the students were with it! Not only was this an inspiration for students to continue reading, but it was also shocking for many of our students because they thought teachers only forced students to read I created an Excel sheet with our entire staffs’ name on the sheet and shared it via email with everyone every other month. Teachers and staff were expected to fill in the book they were reading at the moment. The name tags and title were printed on colored paper just using good old black ink :)

North Carolina teachers Rodney Pierce and Rebecca McKnight sift through artifacts from the Civil Rights Movement during an activity at the 2018 Carolina Oral History Teaching Fellowship. For K-12 teachers, Carolina houses a goldmine of information like archival maps, photos, and recordings — but finding those materials can be difficult. The Southern Oral History Program and Carolina K-12 joined forces to bring educators to campus, helping them uncover resources for use in the classroom. Click the link in our bio to learn more.
Today, on the first day of my fifth (!!) year of teaching, I found this quote from the fabulous Marva Collins to be fitting. I love what I do. I love the demographic I teach. I love my coworkers. I love seeing former babies every morning come up to hug me. I may not love the politics involved, but I DO love waking up every morning excited to see my babies’ faces. A new school year is filled with possibilities, nerves, and more space in my heart to fill with these kids. On the first day of every year, I am reminded why this is my passion. I love teaching and influencing children. My heart was meant to be an educator. To all of my teacher friends starting today, good luck! May this year be full of laughter, learning, and love. #firstdayofschool#teaching#teacherlife#teachersfollowteachers#iteachsecond#education#marvacollins#educator#lovemyjob
Even if you have been lashing for months or years, practicing and pushing yourself to get out of your comfort zone can only add to your success as an artist.
My first two years of lashing, I did the same type of lashes day in day out. Then I decided to get further education and the world of lashing just exploded in my head. Since then I have this hunger to learn more everyday!
You might start off extremely slow or hate the results, but that’s normal in the beginning. Work at your own speed, find out what your doing wrong and find a way to fix it, ask questions and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Your journey to success will always be different from others.

That's why we have to start. That's why we have to be brave; so that others will be inspired to be brave with us.
Seeing other people be brave makes us want to be brave too.
Take a step, I'll catch you. Come be brave with me!
The results are Sublime! .
Last week I was able to share some Revlon Professional love in Minneapolis. On this model we used Color Sublime! To say I am obsessed with this colour line would be an understatement!
