Hull City 1-3 Bristol City
⚽️⚽️ B. Afobe
⚽️ R. Burke (OG)
Despite not being as exciting as the 5-5 scoreline during the reverse fixture between these two clubs 2 years ago,
it certainly is a better outcome for the Robins as they stretch their winning streak to 3 games.
The visitors went ahead just before half time through new signing Benik Afobe’s penalty, but soon after Jarrod Bowen equalised for Hull, just moments after Famara Diedhiou hit the underside of the bar at the other end.
Towards the end of the second half the game was sealed in favour of the visitors, after Reece Burke diverted a Jack Hunt cross into his own neck; a goal which was followed up just two minutes later by Afobe’s second of the game.
Unfortunately, Tomas Kalas was stretchered off during the game with a suspected hamstring injury.
The Robins next game Middlesbrough at Ashton Gate next Saturday.
Bristol City move up to 4th, 3 points behind leaders Leeds.
