Having a goal keeps us on track, gives us something to drive towards and ensures our focus each day is clear.
You must have direction, to know where you are going. If you do not know who you want to become or what you want to achieve, you are creating an unnecessary challenge which could potentially impact on or keep you from reaching your ultimate potential.
Spend time every year, week and day planning and writing down your goals. I believe what we think and, even more so, the goals we write down, are what we achieve as this is the energy we are putting out into the universe. If your vision is clear, you will achieve it.
