I know you care about your athlete’s goals and dreams, otherwise, you wouldn’t spend so much time supporting them by the way of your personal time, traveling to watch your athlete compete, or hiring the best coaches and trainers to help them excel at their sport.
It may feel a bit overwhelming to think about getting your athlete to eat a little differently, but here’s the thing, it’s all about in having an honest conversation with them so that they understand these changes will only help them level up in their performance. This will help you get the #buyin to nutrition changes.
You may feel that you don’t have the time to implement this program, but again here’s the truth.
You are already feeding your athlete, right? What makes the nutrition piece easier to implement is that you will be working WITH your athlete on what they WILL eat and not trying to force them to eat what they are not willing to.
From there you make small tweaks to how they plate their food so they can experience energy balance in the body.
And you know what? By creating energy balanced plates, the whole family gets to benefit with high energy!!
I highly recommend that you as the parent involve your athlete in the Raising Elite Level Athletes program. Let them read through the modules too, it’s less work for you trying to convince them to do something. And by all means, blame me if they start to give you pushback. Coach Kris says….
