Happy Solstice || The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and opens up the season for Cancerian babies (aka ME )
This year's Solstice also lands on #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay and #InternationalYogaDay, serving as powerful symbols for our communities.
In this corner of the cosmos, we operate in cycles - in ever shifting states between light and dark. The Solstice is a celebration of the highest forms of light - a time to celebrate Life.
The Solstice Ritual:
Meditate on the rewards and the illumination of the season. We have fought for freedom, we have fought for our rights, we have fought for joy. The fight (cycle) is far from over, but for now, we celebrate light and the truth she brings.
We've come out of the shadow of winter and into the sun to play. Reflect on the tough times, and how you've grown. Then commit to life in the sun - you owe Her this.
To father sun,
Who gives us energy;
To mother earth,
And her fertile soils;
To the yogis and yoginis,
Who serve as messengers of freedom;
To the indigenous communities,
To whom we owe so much.
I honour the light within you,
That lives onward within me.
Om asatoma sadgamaya
Om shanti, shanti, shanti
Lead me from the unreal to the real
Lead me from darkness to light
Lead me from death to immortality
Om peace, peace, peace.
In Solstice blessings
