Why I Leave My Windows Open
Autumn is far from being my favorite season, but I need to keep the windows open. I need the sound of rustling leaves to ground me to nature. The crisp air reaches into my sanctuary and skims my skin, awakening me to the harsh realities of the world outside. In autumn, I remember that I am living in this demanding world to transform. Nature is continuously transforming, mirroring the unattached creative energy of the universe. You see, inside, my ego is comfortable and the isolation spins me into a web of cycling thoughts, worrying... about my own life. With the windows open, I listen to the chattering of the birds. Yes, alone time is invaluable. But, with the windows open in autumn, I’m alone with the world.
