We're back from Nepal where @seeterrygo had the privilege to assist with the operations and mission of the @khumbuclimbingcenter. Here, Terry teaches one of the evening programs on climate change to the climbing students, instructors and staff. These students will be the future climbing stewards of their nation. Their mentors have already seen the effects of climactic change on the precious resource of monsoon snows and treasured jewels of high Himalayan glaciers. We hope that all mountain workers will be empowered to remind all visiting climbers and trekkers that their land and their livelihood is under threat. The impact truly reaches far beyond the climbing community. Check link in profile (or comments ) for film by the United Nations on the impact of climate change on rural Nepali farmers.
