“Walk through fear”
Three Word Story by Hinna Sheikh
There are two types of fear. Both types of fear can give fight or flight response. One type of fear is our intuition that can keep us away from harm and what is not beneficial for us. The other type of fear is the compass of where we need to go, walking through it, which is valuable for us regardless of outcome. Skill is to be able to differentiate between the two types of fear, so we do not miss out on opportunities. More times than not, the type of fear is the compass of where we need to go, leading us outside of our comfort zone where progress and further fulfillment reside. Generally, we are taught that fear is something to conquer or to be in absence of, but, in actuality, regardless of the type of fear, fear is a useful guide to be seen as a precious, trusted friend that is close to our hearts. Likewise, when we try to concentrate on or to avoid emotion(s), fear in this case, emotion(s) can become stronger versus when we let emotion(s) be without judgement, emotion(s) will ultimately dissipate.
