𝘓𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘭'𝘴 𝘔𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩, 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘢𝘴𝘵, 𝘜𝘒. This is such a high and dramatic cliff between Godrevy and Portreath that there are signs for The Samaritans at the top - with good reason.
It might not be such a great place to go if you feel like you want to end it all, but it's an amazing spot to watch the gulls way below you and the ominous looking waves. 🌊 It's a fearsome place to walk in stormy weather - but a perfect reminder of the power of the sea.
It's not too far to walk from Godrevy Lighthouse and would make a really good out and back hike. I took this photo on my recent day hike from Hayle to Portreath, which was about 12 miles or so. It was chucking it down at this point and there was a bitterly cold wind, which made it a really wild and desolate place to be - I didn't see anyone for miles. My kind of hike!
Hope you've had a good start to the week lovely peeps? How's it going so far? I'm signing off for now, so I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night! x
