Everything is just fine...⠀
Recently I read an article about Power posing. Power posing means to take a pose which gives impression you are powerful, confident, not only that nothing hurts, but that everything is actually GREAT! ⠀
So, why to pose, why to fake reality, why everything needs always to be great? Who is buying such shit - the one who pose or the one who is looking at the poser? What is the point of taking smiling selfie if you feel like you are dying and rot inside? But, the show must go on!⠀
This image reminds me of that article, fake self representation, fake gurus who promote spiritual growth with all roses (but very few of them are honest enough to admit that roses have nasty thorns too). ⠀
It reminds me of "keep positive", "keep smiling", "everything is in your mind" etc. ⠀
It is NOT everything in your mind, don't fool yourself. Or do it if you like. But life is not parsimonious on slaps and everyone gets a dose. So why pretend that everything is always so wonderful and awesome? Why pretend being full of energy, full of motivation, optimism, always up to something? Do you know that it is a trait of maniacal disorder? Is that a trend being manic or is it a trend pretending to be manic?⠀
You want the truth? All those theories (and practices by the way) of how to become and maintain boosted, buzzed, pretentiously confident and assertive, always happy and optimistic, always motivated and up to achieve more and more, always ready for new venture, hide the dark truth behind. They came out from the darkness of hopelessness and "not being able to _____". Any extreme comes out from the opposite extreme. ⠀
Extreme can't fight the extreme, they actually keep each other alive and both profit on vampirizing the believers. Do you really want to become easy prey in return for a few sweet empty phrases and an illusion of easiness?
