"When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul." -A.D. Williams
This is Petunia, born into an industry who sees her as nothing more than a product, a commodity and a piece of property. We don't know her story and why her legs are so badly deformed. She could have been born this way due to congenital birth defects or she could have also sustained injuries as a result of being crammed into a tiny space, so small she couldn't turn around or even rough handling on the #meat #turkey farm where she spent the first few weeks of her life. Her body will grow rapidly due to genetic engineering that all farmed animals in today's world are subject to and the current state of her legs couldn't support this kind of growth. Most turkeys are slaughtered at around 8 weeks old, when their natural life span is 10+ years. Because of this reason, the Future for Petunia is very uncertain at this point and we're all hoping for the best for this sweet girl. For now, she will only know #love and #compassion , enjoying her days in #peace @sweetbearrescue So much #gratitude to @mcdinan for saving this amazing little soul.
Her life matters. She wants to live and is no less deserving of love than the dogs and cats most of us share our homes with. Please #maketheconnection and for those still consuming #meat #dairy and #eggs think of the #victims and #suffering on the other end of #animalproducts It's not about what you're consuming, but who you're consuming. #alllivesmatter #govegan
