So, Tara from Little Acorn Sanctuary have been emailing this week, learning more about our respective missions, and discovering how best to utilize this new partnership.
It’s been incredibly exciting for me to see how much potential @littleacornsanctuary has to make an amazing impact on this world.
First of all, they are really new, they just became an official nonprofit in June of 2018. They have so much space, energy, and desire to grow and offer a safe and caring home to as many animals as possible. Not just goats and chickens! They would love to build the facilities to harbor larger animals: cows, horses, pigs, alpacas, etc... It’s 7 acres of blank canvas, unwritten story, that all of us, right now, have the opportunity to help create.
By supporting Little Acorn Sanctuary through their Patreon page, even at $1/month, you are helping to cover the food, bedding, veterinarian expenses, and utilities required to house more rescues.
Not are Becky and Tara two of the kindest, compassionate, and caring people I’ve ever met, their daughters Adia and Brooklyn are two of the luckiest, most motivated, goofy, and inquisitive children I’ve ever met. To be able to grow up, surrounded by daily examples of how reducing harm increases love and kindness, it’s truly amazing. Also, Adia is quite the bourgeoning vegan activist, she is finding her strong, unique voice, and I am very much looking forward to her upcoming sanctuary blog.
I’m actually getting a little emotional right now, thinking about all that this can be, and how privileged I am to be able to help grow this beautiful sanctuary. You can feel this, too! You can be a part of this amazing community of supporters reducing harm, creating a haven of sanctuary and education, and helping to inspire and encourage a new generation of vegan activists. Just follow the link in our bio, and join Eureka Compass as a Patron of Little Acorn Sanctuary
