Always hungry around 6ish. It’s a little too early for dinner, so then what to do? Good thing we have much to choose from :) .
A walk about the shop almost always takes me towards our cheese fridge. I’ll stand and stare at the different cheeses and hum and haw about what I feel like eating. And then, very often, I’ll pick the Mozz. .
I know it got made earlier today. And was packed about an hour ago & sent to the shop. Take one out, unwrap & sigh :) Look at it! Cheese that has been stretched & folded over & into itself to form this ball. It is springy, soft, has a lot of moisture & will be squeaky chewy if I eat it fresh. Which is (if you ask me) the best way to eat it. Slice the Mozz, slice a tomato, pick some basil leaves. Be generous with the olive oil. Drizzle some balsamico. And there, you have yourself a simple, fresh, light snack. Now. I’m ready to plan dinner :)
