WHAT MOVES YOU.
My friend @anthonydsalerno asked me why I like Katieli and @daniellateu so much. It was difficult for me to put it into words. But I realized one reason this morning -- they go after what moves their hearts. This is something they teach by doing and through what they say.
I'm drawn to fashion, so in response to all the inspiration I felt this morning, I actually put together an outfit rather than pulling on the first thing I saw. This may not look like much of a special outfit to you, but it was enough of a change from my regular ways that I received approximately 57 compliments....or 5 to 7, something like that :-) Thanks to @brynncamilla for leaving a pile of clothes at the house that included a top with French words on it -- something I've always wanted. And thanks to @goodwillintl for having this blazer and these capris, when I came in to get plain ol' scrubs for background acting.
And thanks to @josieraquel_ for inviting me to live at her house, where the hardwood floors and sunlight make me feel creative. And for talking to me about her desire to have her house be a place for God's presence dwells. That, combined with her comments about taking care of her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, inspired me to clean the house, which made the space and my mind all feel more expansive, which helped inspire me to dress better, which brings us this Instagram post.
Full circle back to Katieli and Daniella — Katieli for taking my picture (because I told him I wanted Daniella to take it but she was busy :) ), and them both for helping me recognize what's my heart and go after it.
To all: I encourage you to go after what moves your heart whether it seems silly and small or is clearly big and important. If it matters to us, it matters to Him, and He's all about the heart. God came to us because we moved His heart. The only way I can explain the beauty and weirdness of many things in creation are simply that it affected God's heart to create them that way.
What moves your heart?
