I am a professional track and field athlete for Nike. My passion is to inspire others, to help them gain confidence, and have faith. After my professional career, I want to become a sports/fashion model and also coach the USA Olympics team. I heavily involved in community service, whether it be from working in the church, coaching the University of Florida track and field athletes, or helping out with kids sports clinics.
I began running track when I was four years old. I competed in multiple sports, but as I got older, I realised road was the sport I could potentially have a career in. My senior year in high school I received multiple D1 scholarship offers. I decided to go to Baylor university my freshman year. In 2014 I placed 4th at the NCAA Championships, became the US Junior Champion, and placed 3rd at the IAAF World Junior Championships. In 2015 I transferred to the University of Florida. This was a tough time in my career because I tore my hamstring and I couldn’t run for six months. No matter how useless I felt, I continued to trust in God, and I knew I’d come back stronger. In 2016 I placed 2nd at the NCAA Championships and competed at my first Olympic Trials (making it to the semifinal round). In 2017 I placed 3rd at the U.S Championship, which allowed me to make the USA team for the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London. Over 200 countries competed at this meet, and I was blessed to make the finals and placed 5th (which made me the 5th fastest man in the world). In 2018 I placed 2nd at the US Championships and travelled to over 15 countries to compete on the Diamond League circuit.
