"I was 398 pounds and barley 5'4. I was just uncomfortably big! I remember thinking how did I get this way? who am I? I didn't even recognize myself anymore. I even begin to believe that I would stay that way forever because the idea of losing 200 +pounds seemed way past impossible! One day it finally hit me! I was just tired !Diet after diet..Every Monday I was starting over again with no results and no consistency. I was Fed Up! I was a beautiful soul with a love for fashion and music. I HAD DREAMS! In Colchester there is a restaurant called @thedenat23 which is all vegan food and drinks. Never been before even though I try my hardest to follow a plant based diet and initially compared to how much I eat I thought the portion was small but hell it was a good size and tasted absolutely incredible!! Never had such good burgers before!!! 100% coming again soon!! @christinaabdilla having lunch weekly with my lady is more important to me than anything!!!

Over 12weeks @a.d.m.fitness worked with Bride to be Penny Goldstone (@pennygoldstone) of @youyourwedding to see if she could achieve abs over a 12 week period.

I thought I had a "good" fitness level, going to gym classes three times a week, but to be honest I felt like I'd reached a bit of a rut where I wasn't seeing the results any more. That's until I started classes with Anthony, who proved that actually there was a lot more I could do! First off he taught me all about nutrition which was a big learning curve for me, and I realised that my previous diet, although not bad, was stopping me from building muscles. Then came the exercise. Yep, turns out I WASN'T that good as it was bloody hard! But they do say no pain, no gain. We alternated between HIIT, arms and abs/legs sessions to hit all body areas, three times a week. After a few weeks, I'm now happy to say that I'm stronger, and although the sessions are still by no means easy, they get easier, and I'm constantly pushing myself to try heavier weights so that it doesn't get too easy. I've discovered that I actually like doing weights, and I'm finally seeing changes in my body, more of a muscle definition and more importably, those abs are finally starting to show! "Penny" .

This time last year I was bursting out of a 3xl polo shirt but couldn't find one bigger. I was always breathless, dog walks were brief. I had sleep apnea and would wake up gasping for breath. My joints ached, I struggled to do the most mundane tasks and quite simply my mental health was zero. I was rock bottom. Today I brought a 2xl shirt and it's loose on me. I attended a hard gym session and followed it up with a 5km power walk with my dog. Yes, I'm aching, but not from joints, from doms! I sleep through the night, I only get breathless during cardio (urgh) and my mental health? Well let's put it this way, I never wanted to be alive by my 30th birthday. My 30th birthday is on Monday and I'm happy to celebrate it and I'm looking forward and making plans. This never has been a journey about my reflection, what other people think. It's about me and my mental and physical health. Take ownership of yourself and you will achieve! .
