I am in no way more special than anyone. I don’t have better genetics or a “higher metabolism”. And I certainly wasn’t always fit! I wake up every morning with the same opportunity as everybody to be better than yesterday.
Yes, this is the result of dedicated training and clean eating, but most importantly the result of A LOT of psychological and emotional work.
I didn’t try to shortcut my way to a drastic transformation. I consistently changed my lifestyle, approched nutrition as fuel and not a filler or even worst an enemy. I fell in love with the process of this long term journey towards a better me. And I grew so much through this. What back then I thought would make me happy was to be skinny. It’s also that same mentally that got me nowhere in terms of results or fitness. When my focus shifted from aesthetics and magazine looks to achievement and performance, THAT’s when the magic started happening. THAT’S when I really started to see changes in my fitness. I embraced the CrossFit methodology for it’s purpose to make people better humans. To develop so many key elements of physical fitness and make me feel like a well rounded athlete. It allowed me not only to become strong and endurant, but faster and more agile, skilled and flexible. The opportunities for improvement are endless and that’s what makes it so motivating. .
In the end, the key to success is action. No matter your level or your limitations, just start where you are, with what you have. And through consistent effort, focused perseverance, a positive attitude and a real desire to become the best version of yourself, amazing things will happen. You will blow your own damn mind! .
