(3/3) “The storm may come, But we’ll get through it because of Your love”
Been going through my Advent devotional and it’s pretty mind blowing how God put hope in the hearts of his people about the coming of a savior 700+ years before He even came. No matter what the Israelites were walking though, it was done so with a profound hope. For they held onto this promise God gave them “to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.”
Luke 1:74-75 NIV
God loves us so much that He became one of us. Jesus came so we could walk close to a holy God in the righteousness He clothes us in. If the Israelites could walk through storms because they knew God loved them, even without the reality of Jesus, how much more should we be filled with hope in the middle of our own storms, when we’re living with the Holy Spirit within us. Because of Your love we hold an underlying hope, peace and joy through all of life’s ups and downs. & it’s the loveliest gift to have this Christmas season.
