With the rise of strength and conditioning programmes out there for athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike, we would like to share snippets of how a typical strength and conditioning session is done here at Strength Avenue.
Contrary to what is out there, our athletes are put through 'boring', 'mundane' routines as compared to cool, 'sport-specific' exercises that you might have imagined or even watched on highlight videos.
In the words of our Head Coach @andynkadir : "We take pride in doing the basics right. Our athletes' longevity and well-being is our priority. Getting them mindful while moving, stronger overall, and staying injury-free are the keys to building a solid foundation.
The aim of strength and conditioning is for them to return to their sport feeling good and ready to go. Not to beat them up with mindless circuits of exercises in the hopes of improving their sports performance."
So the next time you attend our strength and conditioning semi-privates which we have open to the general population, you should not be expecting to be doing MMA highlight-reel videos you see on YouTube! See you at the gym.
