Something that has always helped me stay true to my goals is looking at what is on the other side of my choices. How will my choices make me FEEL? I can usually predict that feeling and know that it’s not going to give me the result I want.

Woohoo! Looks like I had a good day! 🤣😂 Actually, I did have a pretty awesome day! Getting my workout in first thing in the morning, having a healthy breakfast, checking in with my challenge group, listening to a motivational audiobook (don’t judge, it’s been awesome!). Just started my day off really well!

PROPER FORM.

Over the last couple of years I have discovered the importance of proper form while #exercising.

I used to get injured in the gym because I would lift heavy weight, but losing proper form while doing it.

When I have realised how important form is and I have applied it to my exercises I stopped (almost) getting stupid #injuries that hinder activity for weeks.😵 Recently I took on #running and as this is new for me I got injured already few times.
I am learning and applying what I learn proper form to avoid that.

So my advice is ... Whatever the activity you choose make sure you follow proper form and you will enjoy MUCH more.😀✌🏋🏊🏃

Quite possibly one of my favorite glue/ham SUPERSETS.
I like to pair the thrust and reverse hyper together all the time. Nice isolation and burn for my glutes and hamstrings. Besides deadlifts, hip thrusts are my absolute favorite lift. And booty-hamstrings are my favorite muscle groups to work (if you can’t tell by now)! 🍑
Kids are home on a snow day, so a nice perk of having a home gym, just walk downstairs for the workout!! Did i mention how much i love my glutebuilder?! 😁

Reason 621 why I workout at home so early. .

This sweet sleeping child never stops when she wakes up. She wakes up every morning at 6:00 like clockwork. If I don’t get it done before she wakes up, it will be very difficult to make it happen. .

The day before surgery, 2 weeks ago today, I had to have my nails taken off due to the O2 sensor needing to be able to read my levels during surgery. I HATE not having nails. It is just "my thing". Today I went and got a full new set on. I always wear them much shorter and a square shape due to work and gym. It's not comfortable to have nails digging into your hands while lifting or them breaking your gloves open at work. Today, in honor of facing my fear of surgery and changing my body that, I was never comfortable with but excepted, I went with a long, almond shape design! I will still be off for almost 2 weeks so I'm going to have a little fun. What do you think? Yes or no? Bulgarian Split Squats. I cry just a tiny bit whenever I see them on my training plan 😭They are SO challenging! Yet they’re so effective at toning & strengthening the thighs that they’re worth the 🔥
A few key points:
💪Take a stance wide enough so that you can get full range of motion without your heel needing to come up (aim for your knee to be about in line with your toes at the bottom of the squat)
💪Have a slight forward lean instead of trying to stay perfectly upright
💪Push through the heel-mid foot of the stance leg.
💪If you spend a lot of time figuring out where to put your feet, figure it out the first set with the first leg and put a marker on the ground. I use a mini-band but you could also use a small plate or dumbbell. It saves a lot of jumping around trying to find your position.
💪Don’t let your knee cave in. Work to actively push it out so it tracks in line with your first 2 toes.
💪If you’ve never done this before your body weight will be plenty challenging! When you’ve got it down you can add on weight.
💪 Try 3 sets of 8-10 reps per side

Holy bananas 🍌🍌! I wish I knew about @nutsnmore peanut butter a long time ago! Absolutely delish! I got my order in the mail and I was so hopping I would like the taste. So many times we try things that are healthy for us only to be disappointed with either an initial awful taste or some weird aftertaste. This had neither! I tried the birthday cake flavor on a piece of my low sodium #ezekielbread. Amazing! I have a sensitive stomach too and lots of things don't agree with me but with the simple ingredients of Whey protein, nuts and sugar, you can't go wrong!
I'm resting at home now but in little over a week I will return to work along with starting a new job (stay following for more info) I will be working well over 50 hours a week. I love the convenience of the single serve packets. So easy to squeeze on anything begging for peanut butter, or let's be honest, I may just squeeze it right in my mouth!

Early mornings. It’s no secret. I struggle with them. I have a love/hate relationship with the sun rising. Confession to make- I am the worst about prioritizing sleep. I have a family of early-to-bed-ers. So by 9:30 when most of them are sleeping I get back to work, which I enjoy, but many nights I allow myself to work till 1 or 2 AM. School bus wake-up is 6:15. You do the math there🤭Clearly 4-5 hours of sleep isn’t optimal. So why do I do it? Same as you- I put other things first, I feel fine in the moment when I’m up late, I enjoy what I’m doing in those wee hours, I’m lacking discipline in this area.
