So this is my opinion not yours, don’t get all butt hurt.
If it works then do it.
Would I go on these diet?
Nope!!!
Because I just hate the idea of restricting myself from food. I don’t eat certain food bc it’s my choice not to eat. I don’t have any reasons to eat any dollar menus and some crazy food combo that I see from social media. I enjoy food and I appreciate food.
So then... how about these diet ideas?
They do work because people eat less calories than what they usually eat normally.
How much can you eat during 8 hours? 2 big meals maybe 3... definitely there is no snacking.
High fat food sounds good and it is easy to stick w it.
Cheeseburger with no bun adding avocado. That’s yummy. But how about pooping department? Not enough fiber to flush down all those food. Yike!!
And very small amount of carbs. That’s just depressing.
You see.. any diet works for a period time. Try whole30, weight watcher, Paleo diet, and of course air diet too.
They all work but our brain doesn’t like to eliminate certain food. Our body craves and not feeding will lead to binge eating disorder or go psycho ( after all you need was some carbs).
Weight loss is calories deficit.
You eat less than what you burn.
Track your calories intake using the app. Don’t assume.
Eat healthy for 80-90 % and eat junk fun food 20-10 %.
Eat protein in every big meal.
Eat more veggies( don’t drink green juice.. that’s just dumb).
So that’s it for my opinion.
Do it if u need to ,but have a back up plan Incase you fall.
If you stay longer than over year, then that’s your lifestyle .

She is the instructor who teaches at 7 pm on Tuesday and Thursday classes.
I’ve known her from 24 hours fitness back in the days. We used to take Sat. Step class together. I didn’t know her well enough back then. I was always up front of the class right next to instructor and she was behind the class. We said Hi and bye. I remembered her with a baggy shirt 👚 all the time. Later She hired me as her trainer at 24 hours fitness too. After I quit 24, I saw her at that gym one day and I told her I opened my studio. I told her to come by , check it out and she did. She liked the first class and she joined for the first month and still here.
OMG.. this is back in early 2013. I didn’t know her about eating disorder. I didn’t know anything her personal life. All I knew that she liked working out. She was very quite( not anymore) too.
When she told me about her life with food, body, and her ex husband, she had so much baggage with her.
For last 5 years, I have seen her getting out her dark side and be a 💡 light.She is so dedicated, disciplined, hard working, determined and have a big heart for people. When I asked her to help me, she said yes without even thinking.
Who ever thought that Sandra will be teaching boot camp classes? The woman who was behind covering herself a cloths that fit 2 people is teaching other people how to exercise.
She is my motivation and should be your motivation too. I’m so proud her!!! .

I took my mom for a therapy about a month ago. It was $120 per hour session. . I was like “wow..I could buy some yoga pants and supplements”. She felt good after the session but it was one time thing. She told me she felt better that she told her story to a stranger, but it is up to her to do her part to get out the depression and anxiety.
My mom started exercising about 7 years ago. The woman who worker for last 50 years , she finally retired at 2011. She joined the gym and started taking some classes.
It was her therapy time. It was her time to release her frustration, anger, and sadness. She loved working out.
About 2 years ago, she started having vertigo that she started taking some medications to ease her vertigo. She couldn’t sleep at night. She was anxious. But she still tried to exercise daily. So she cut down her gym time and started practicing yoga with me.
We go to the studio twice a week. We talk. We catch up. I’ve never really had mom and daughter time growing up that this was a great time to spend. My mom told me that I’m her best friend.
However, For last couple months, her vertigo got so bad that she hasn’t gone yoga with me. She told me that she has been doing some yoga poses at home but it’s not the same as practicing at the studio.
She really missed her therapy time. She was feeling better that she went to the class last week and yesterday.
She was so happy. She was smiling after the classes.
Her condition changes every day that she may not go this Thursday with me. I hope she can. My mom is 69 going on 70 this year. She tells me every time I see her “ I wish I could start taking myself when I was younger, and I’m glad that you are taking care of yourself. “
We take our health for a granted. Our health doesn’t have a price tag. It gets expensive when you try to fix it. Exercise is the cheapest way to take care your body and mind.

So I talked about controlling your emotions yesterday.
A kid lose his/ her self control that he/ she throws a tantrum. You lose self control over your feeling that your feeling takes over your body, mind and spirit.
Wanting is a feeling but doing is not. Doing is action which means that your body has to make it happens. “I want to be a millionaire”, and you don’t do anything about it. You spend all the money food that you don’t need to eat, clothes that you already have, paying for gym membership that you don’t use. “I want to lose weight” and you still do what you have done before to get where you are now.
You gotta take it back and be control your life.
If you don’t, you are going around circle ⭕️. It ain’t going anywhere.
What’s really holding you?
You gotta figure it out and take care of it.
Life is to short to stay and going around circle. It’s so much to experience and see that you don’t want to miss bc you didn’t take action to change YOU.

Frustration, sadness, jealousy, doubt, envy, despair, depression, guilt, grief, fear, shame, bitter, angry, anxiety, confused, lonely, worthless, unhappy, worried and so on.
These are negative feelings that we feel daily.
We also feel positive emotions too.
The problem is that when our negative feeling throw a tantrum then we don’t know what to do. It’s a kid crying at the market bc he wants his candy and mom doesn’t allow him to get it. At the end, either he gets or he doesn’t.
This goes to your feeling too.
When you let your negative feeling takes over you, you need to make a choice. “Am I going to let my feeling take of me or am I going to control this feeling?”. I mean seriously... you can’t let your child control you.. right ? Bc you are his parents. You can’t let your feeling control you, bc you gotta be control your mind, body and spiritual.
Practice how to tame you. Practice how to talk to you.
Spend some time with you so you get to know yourself.
It’s Monday and new week starts. Work on yourself!

I do legs twice a week for last 7 years. Tues is for heavy lifting with squats and deadlifts. Thursday is for a lot of single leg exercises and lunges.
I was practicing single leg squat with a dumbbell.
I was horrible and couldn’t go down when I started first.
Practice makes it perfect!!

I felt good. I kinda liked benching today.
I started w 65 lbs 10 reps and kept adding up to 95 lbs with 7 reps.
Boy... it was heavy!!

Front squats with only 75 lbs
Why do I emphasize “only”..
Because some days I lift weight with my ego. My ego will tell me that I can do 115 lbs with horrible form😣. About 2 months ago, I was doing front squat, and this boy came and started doing front squat right next to me. My ego started kicking and I kept adding up till 115lbs.
Of course.. he did more than I did. I get that stupid time to time.
So... Today, I told myself that I will not lift w my ego. I will go all the way to the ground. It was all about good quality squats. Good ass to grass front squat! No half ass ugly ego squats.
The result is that I can actually feel my butt cheeks getting little sore.
I have to tell myself over and over that too much ego will me. .

“I eat healthy but I can’t seem to lose weight”. American people like you and I consume 166 lbs sugar per year. PER YEAR!!
We should be getting 25 grams for women and 35 grams for men.
Look at this chart. I had to divide for 3 so you can look at it. We still eat too much sugar. Yes we don’t eat white sugar but we eat “added sugar” and there are in almost every food. This is why you can’t eat “all organic, all gluten free, all fat free, or even all vegan food”. The companies will add sugar using different name to make food yummy.
I hate when ppl say “but it’s organic”. I don’t give a crap whether it’s organic or not . Sugar is sugar. Shit is shit.
My point is that what we think is healthy eating is not helping us to lose weight.
The best way to cut down “added sugar “ is to read the label. If it says “ added sugar ....”, you might need to start cutting down.
Some ppl are going “how about fruits?”. Fruits are better than added sugar but won’t help to lose weight if you eat too much.
If you are not sure how much you are consuming sugar, download an app and check.
That’s how I found out that I wasn’t eating enough sugar. Less sugar = super bitchy
More sugar= super tired

Omg! This was so freaking good. I am making this again.
So I have the plant based milk, peanut butter powder, and frozen yogurt.
8 oz milk
2 tbsp of PB powder
1/2 cup of frozen yogurt
155 calories/ 16 grams of protein/ 7 grams of sugar
This literally took care my sugar craving now. And I even got 16 grams of protein.
What a delightful drink!!

My church @sandalschurch has been giving us sermons about our personality. I took the test and I found out why I act/ behave aggressively all the time.
I am reformer( aka perfectionist), achiever, and challenger. It’s good and bad same time. I drive myself to crazy to be prefect, trying to be successful in every aspect of my life, and very competitive. These are good traits for what I do. But it also very stressful too. I’m on hard myself and on others too. This is I get angry at you guys time to time. I expect people to be just me. Motivated! Challenge yourself! Don’t be lazy!
But not everybody created equal and not everybody wants what I want to achieve.
I am learning that some people need different way to achieve their goals and challenge them.
The reason for this post is that we are all different.
Don’t feel bad bc you don’t have her motivation.
Don’t fee bad bc you give up fast.
Don’t feel bad bc you need more moral support than others.
Don’t feel bad bc you can’t motive yourself.
You have to know your way to deal with yourself.
Btw... the test was only $10.
This test and @pastormattbrown service for last three weeks really helped me to understand my weakness which is anger. Working on it everyday not to get mad at ppl and me.
I wish that I would have known about this a long time ago.

Is sugar bad and addictive as Cocaine?
Do you know why it’s so hard for you to quit sugar?
Because sugar stimulates the reward center in your brain that release dopamine aka feel good chemical.
Guess what Cocaine does? SAME 🤔😳 The more you eat sugar, the more you feel good from producing a lot of dopamine. After all... you never seen any angry ice cream eater. Everybody is happy when we eat ice cream🍦🍨. We have so many ways and options to get sugar constantly. It seems like everything has sugar.
Some of us are sugar addicted. We all know that Cocaine is bad that we don’t even try. But we keep consuming sugar every day.
That creamer on your sugar, white bread and jelly, cereal in any day time, chips, cookies, and so on.
I’m not saying that we need to stop completely. Btw.. try it.. you will go through some mental breakdown. Then how can we fix this sugar addiction?
Don’t worry, there’s hope.
I’m working on “sugar detox 21 days program” now. Once I’m ready to share, I will let you guys know. I’ve talked so many members regarding this issue that it is better to write down so you can follow the instruction.

I’m just great at #pull-ups
It is hard every time I pull up and down. I keep telling myself “one more, you can do this!”. I remembered the first time I got on that bar and couldn’t lift myself up. I was so embarrassed.
I thought I was pretty strong but not strong enough to pull my body up. “Reality check up!”. Instead of giving up, I bought the home pull up bar and started practicing every day until I did ☝🏻 pull up.
It was back in December of 2009. I still practice #pull ups twice a week.
Attention Gals!!! Don’t tell yourself that you can’t do it bc you are a woman. You can’t do it bc you haven’t started yet.
You need a goal... maybe one pull up for this year!!

I used to wear high heels all the time. Oh.. I love them!!
I don’t have a lot but i have decent amount of high heels that they are just sitting inside my shoes closets.
Sitting and waiting for me to wear them.. and show off...
Well....
I haven’t been wearing them regularly for last 6 years.
I wear flats for my days off, and sneakers for my work.
My pretty heels are very uncomfortable bc I’m not used to wear like I used to.
I do feel more feminine and pretty when I wear my heels.
But I keep going back to my flats.
The point is that when you are out of your comfort zone, it is uncomfortable and you get used to it after while .
If I start wearing my heels again, i have to accept the fact that I will be uncomfortable but I will get used to it.
Exercising is uncomfortable.
Eating too healthy is very uncomfortable.
Pain after exercising is uncomfortable.
Eating broccoli is very uncomfortable 😣 for literally.
In order to get out your uncomfortable is to get used to uncomfortable.
After while, it becomes comfortable. .

A great whole body exercise with one set of weight.
I do 5 -10 reps that depends on how much weight I use. I used 17.5 lbs that I did 5 reps for 5 rounds. .

So... as you know... my stomach has a lot of issues.
I cut down a lot of my favorite food since last year and I finally cut out eggs from diet.
So what the hell am I eating for breakfast?
So I came up with this breakfast plan and I like it.
As you can see, I mix cocoa blend powder(12 grams of protein), plant based milk(8 grams protein), 1 tsp of chia seeds , hemp seeds and 1 small banana. I am less bloated in the morning.
I like the taste.
I definitely miss eating eggs so I eat on Sunday only( my hubby makes breakfast for me so I gotta eat it). Here is what I eat for my breakfast

You see... rosy did “humping push-ups” when she started in November of 2016.
Boy... I was so hard on her. She told me that she used to attend a fitness studio so I assumed that she knew what she was doing.
As you know, a lot of studios don’t teach you how to exercise. They offer the classes and that’s pretty much it. You can hump, dance , they don’t care.
It’s easier to ignore them than trying to help members.
Rosy was a humper but not any more. This is why I am after you guys. I know you can do it a right way if you keep trying. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
She’s one of my favorite member from 5:30 am.
She comes at 5:31 am and we start the class when she walks in. She is consistent. She is dedicated. She is persistent. She is off her diabetes med and she is a #fitnessmom
She was the only one who was doing offset push-ups this morning.
I am so proud of her!!
She came a long way to come and I can’t wait to see how her #fitnessjourney will be.

Why do we fail all the time?
You try to eat healthy but you end up eating a bag of chips even you know it is right thing to do.
You try to exercise but you won’t even it is right thing to do.
The motive that you have for eating healthy and working out is wrong.
To lose weight is not enough to take it next level.
You need to work on #selfcontrol
Control your portion. You can eat a small bag of chips. You shouldn’t eat a big bag of chips when nobody is around .
You should exercise bc it is good for your health. Do you really get on medications for every illness?
After all... it’s You and we are human. Very weak minded creature. Pray and ask Jesus to protect you!

It’s definitely #tbt pics!!
1️⃣I was 15 years old and I hated myself. It was about 1 year that I had been living in this country and I still had hard time with English and school. I felt so out of control what was going on my life. I had no friends to talk that I kept all my emotion. This was the time that I started developing eating disorder and body image issue. Of course... no self esteem and no self confidence. I was sooo depressed😭😰 and miserable.
2️⃣ I was about 30 years old, and I just came out the business I helped to run for last 5 years. I was such a horrible running the business that when we tried to sell it, we couldn’t sell right away. Nobody wants to buy “not so well” business. It was a beauty supply and I had no idea how to run this business. I was so depressed 😭😭 that I was angry at customers and my mom. I felt like I was in this tiny cage ando couldn’t fly. I felt stuck and suffocated. I was dying slowly inside the cage.
3️⃣After I went through cancer thing, I decided to become a trainer so I can help other people. Since I was working at the gym that I spend more time to train myself too. And I saw my look so lean and fit, I wanted to keep the body lean as possible every moment of day. And guess what happened? I was so miserable and depressed even I had this amazing body. My #healthyliving #cleaneating was controlling my other life #marriage #familytime #friendship
I was in this dark hole but I didn’t want to give up the body I always dreamed of.
4️⃣me.. finally... this was me at our friend’s wedding. I lookedhappy and I was happy
For last 30 years, I struggled with depression bc I couldn’t control my life. My life as my circumstances, my situation, my surrounding, and my own personality.
So what changed...
I turned back to God and asked Him to take all my sorrows, my brokenness, my hurt, and pain. I asked Him for forgiveness all the sin and washed away. It’s been 7 years of another struggle too. My old self wants to come out and I have to pray and fight not to come back.
I just want to share this morning that this is my story.

Tuesday is my legs day.
It’s been my legs day for last 7 years.
Monday is back.
Tuesday/ Thursday are legs day( heavy on Tuesday and light and a lot of lunges on Thursday).
Wednesday is upper body.
I really like back exercises that I do twice( Monday and Wednesday)
Friday is all body if I want to lift, but I haven’t been lifting on Friday.
So I lift 4 times a week.
Be consistent!
Stick with work out schedule like this is your appt!

Yup... it’s Monday and we are starting all over again.
Have you ever wished that you don’t have to go on a diet( basically cutting all the food you ate last 2 days) nor trying to kill yourself with exercise?
Ok... so... instead doing all these on Monday, pick one small bad habit. Trying to work on just one ☝🏻 out of time.
It is hard to eat your boring chicken and veggies after what you ate last two days.
It is hard to start working out when the last time you exercise was sometime ago.
It is hard to squeeze to come the class when you have so much going on your life.
It’s too much at once that you get overwhelmed that you literally stop after 2 days and you tell yourself that you will start on Monday.
These are some ideas that you can change.
1. Drink more water
2. Eat healthy meal for dinner
3. Eat breakfast for sure
4. Do 15 mins walking am and pm
5. Do plank, push-up for 5 mins
6. Snack on Protein instead of sugary bar
7. Listen motivation podcast or music and go for walk
8. Read one verse Bible ( this one really helps me)
9. Eat your favorite snack once a day but very small amount. Mine is dark chocolate 🍫
10. Do 10 jumping jack every hour every hour. Ppl will think you are crazy but its better than nothing.
You pick one only and try for one week and keep doing it until it becomes the habit. And you add another one.
This is creating a new good habit through out the time.

This has been on my chest for a while and I’m goin to let it out.
My future or thinking about become a member,
Don’t be scared, intimidated, and embarrassed by other members, and of course me.
This is my story.
I came this county back in 1988. I was 14 years old. I am introverted and Type A person. Being a kid with this personality, I was so scared, intimidated, embarrassed speaking in English that I didn’t speak/ talk much during my high school.
If I couldn’t make a perfect sentence, I wouldn’t bother to speak.
English was and is still hard even though I have been living in here 30 years.
My hubby makes fun my English all the time. I get angry and mad at him too. “Dude... it’s not funny”.
I have a lot of struggles and this is one of them.
I had people wrote on my page that how awful my grammar was too.
Back in 2012, I didn’t even think or bother to open my studio bc I knew that I had to stand front of people and talk. What a nightmare!! But guess I did it in 2013. Since 2013, I taught more than 1500 classes front of you guys. I go to bathroom to breath in before I start teaching the class. I don’t want to mess it up.

I don’t give you the report card, I don’t grade your exercise performance. I just wanna help you to lose weight, gain your self confident back, and feel good about yourself when your #naked😝

Getting up at 5 am is hard.
Working out at 5:30 am is harder ( especially without any coffee ☕️ before you come)
But it is so worth it.
The benefits from working out early are

There are two kinds of people. People who love themselves too much , and people who don’t love themselves. However, if you love yourself too much then that is going to be a problem too. That’s another topic...
Today is “what is the one thing you love about yourself?”
I’m in the business that I hear same complaints from people. “I hate my body”
“I hate my legs”
“I hate my big tummy”
“I hate my arms”
“ I wish I can just change my body with whoever”
We are more than a body but we spend a lot of time and energy to look sexy, pretty, handsome, fit, gorgeous, and so on. We also live in the world that we see more people look better than us every time we go on the social media.
One time, I felt pretty good about myself and was browsing from Instagram, I felt like 💩 and get ugly.
I didn’t feel all that after all.
Even I tell myself that the beauty comes from inside, but it is hard not to compare mine to others. Silly me.. Our church service was about “you” and this was the one of questions and this question came through head this morning.
What is the one thing I love about myself? I had to think for a while and here it is.
I love my work ethic. I am hard working and go getter. I work my ass off everyday to run my small business. I love that I am very independent strong person. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The pic shows the progress.
My studio has been around for last 6 years. The most my members have been with me since I opened.
This is why I don’t have a lot of before and after pics from my members. The most of are pretty fit.
Mayra came on January w her friend. Very quiet, standing all the way back.
She did well on her first class and she showed up next day, next week, and next month. And here we are...
When I saw her doing push-up and burpee... I was so happy to see that.
So I gave her the tank top. She didn’t think that it was going to fit.
She told me that when she came to the class first time, she felt so intimidated by my fit members. Everybody seemed fit and slim.
She could use her insecurity not to come back but she didn’t. She came back!!!
Our 6 pm members started to notice her weight loss too.
We are all happy for her and we all want to help her to reach her goal too!
If you are need some motivation and help from a good amazing group of ppl, I have them.
My members are super duper nice to new members. Thank God for that.

I don’t post Bible verses but I’m posting today.
I am not good at memorizing verses. No matter how much I try to memorize but I still fail. However, this verse has been stuck my head this whole week. I kept reciting over and over “trust in the lord all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding” and this verse popped this morning on my Bible App.
Wow... this is our Father talks to me and you guys.

Yes I’m!!! I’m on #cleaneating for last 10 years and I’m very happy with #healthylifestyle
So why am I so pleased with my diet plan?
Bc I know it’s not all about what I eat every day. It’s about how much and when I eat my food. ✅when you start cutting down sugar( carbs, dairy)from your diet, your brain will throw tantrum on you . Like a kid losing his toy. You are angry, hangry, irritated, and very mean. No carbs = no good
✅when you cut down on alcohol, you become a very boring person. And you don’t like yourself either.
Then what, when, how are you going to eat?
1. Eat 3 big meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner that have carbs, lean protein, and healthy fats.
2. Don’t skimp on the serving size on vegetable every time you eat. After all.. I’ve never seen anybody who gained weight from eating too much vegetables. Veggies must with unlimited serving.
3. Measure, I mean.. use your food scale to measure your protein, and starch carbs.
As long as you don’t eat too much, your body needs all these nutrients.
4. When you have craving for certain food, eat!!! Don’t suppress your craving. You are allowed to have cheat meals through out the week.
5. Don’t worry about adding snack between meal. Have Snack only if needed.
If you have snack, it needs to be less calories than your big meal. I know some ppl eat 🥗 for lunch, and then they end up snacking with 🍪🍦🍩 later afternoon. The Salad is not a real meal unless you add lean protein and some carbs. It’s all water based that you get hungry so fast then you end up snacking with high calorie sugar snacks.

A. Magical detox teas, 8 mins Abs workout, Bulletproof coffee( ☕️ and stick of butter..), rub your body with sweat something cream and wrap the body like a bacon wrap, do a lot of cardio, and drink green juice made out 🥑🍌🍏🥝🍓🥦🥒.
B. Calorie deficit , weight training 3-5 times a week w actual weight, do some cardio to burn extra calories, sleep 7-8 hours sleep( phone off after 9 pm), practice how to stress less, have positive attitude, a lot of patience, and eat protein, carbs, and fat.

About 6 months ago, I put myself a challenge “noshoppingforworkoutclohes” .
I was organizing my work out pants and two drawers were full that i needed one more drawer. So I started counting and I do have a lot.
My excuse to keep buying was “I work out all the time, and I need them”.
Did I really need all these pants and tops?
My answer is...
No I wanted them bc they are so cute and I just wanted them.
So it’s been 6 months and I one pants( winter one that I needed it) and 2 long sleeves work out shirts( that I wear almost every morning last 3 months).
Even my mom asked me whether we ever Gona go to Lululemon anytime soon.
It was our thing on Friday after Souplantation.
Do I miss shopping?
Yes but I rather save that money for next vacation trip or my retirement fund.
I started incorporating #minimalism for last 3 months too.
Wanting stuff is never ending emotional drain and the more I buy, the more I want.
So I have been cleaning the closets, kitchen pantry, all the drawers from the house. Less stuff, less organizing. Less stuff, less cleaning. Less stuff, more money.
Well... April is coming and I want to challenge you guys to de clutter your house or space.

It’s been 8 years!!!
I was so skinny and my hubby was so young😝
You know why I entered the competition.
Bc I’ve never achieved anything in my life that I wanted to do something before I died. It wasn’t like I was going to win Nobel prize or started a tech business and become billionaire. I just wanted to do something that it was completely out of league. Wearing tiny bikini, go up to the stage and smiling for one min.
Did I like or love it?
The experience was good.
But not awesome.
I loved the process of it.
Training, diet, getting all dolled up, and seeing my six packs first time in my life was awesome.
I was disappointed on how the judges picked the winners and i felt like I was that kid didn’t belong to the circle. After all.. it’s all connection which I didn’t have nor still don’t have.
This is why I stopped doing after second time. I didn’t want to spent more money and time to get validated by some people.
Would I recommend people to do it? Yes.. of course.. just once.. it’s a great experience that you can tell your kids and grandkids(later)
It created some fun memories!! That was it!!

Sugar is evil... not really... we love sugar.
The relationship between sugar is like having a bad ass boyfriend. You know you shouldn’t be with him, but you still go back.
Eventually you have to make the decision. I’m talking about sugar cravings. The boyfriend... that’s another headache...
We all know how to do it but we still cave into sugar over and over.
Btw... everything has sugar, wana be sugar, look like sugar, tastes like sugar nowdays.
If there are sugar in a tire, yes... tire.. we prob eat it too.
So how do we control??
It’s simple.
Staple your lips!!! Was that too extreme??
Well... if you can’t then you won’t eat.
Unfortunately that can’t never happened so let’s try other ways.
1. Out of sight, out of mind.
Don’t buy them.
But if you see them, walk away.... like you just saw ghost. It’s all in your head when it comes to sugar craving.
Our brain produces Serotonin and your brain wants everyday. When you have low level os serotonin, you feel little depressed, irritable, low motivation, poor sleep, and cravings for sugar.
Then how do ⬆️serotonin level?
1. Stress less
2. Exercise
3. Eat protein with every big meal
4. Have fun in the sun
5. Get massage
6. Get vitamin D
7. Don’t avoid carbs entirely
8. Think positive
9. Pray
10. Eat one of your favorite sweet in a smaller portion everyday. Me... I eat chocolate 🍫
Sugar is not enemy but you are your worse enemy. .

This gotta be the easiest way to prep meal.
If you are not good at cooking, all you have to cook is protein, starch carbs, and some veggies. And if you don’t know how to cook all these, you need to learn how to do it.
The portion for protein is 3-4 oz, starch carbs is 3-4 oz. veggies are unlimited.
Avocado should be measured due to high cal.
I don’t eat black beans and corns due to IBS. But if you do, make sure to measure beans and corns. These are high in cal.
I forgot to add raw kale on my bowl earlier.
Think outside box when it comes to eat healthy.
Kale is a great way to add more green for your diet.
I can’t wait to eat again!

I was out for one week. I have been working, working out, and eating so clean since my last long vacation from 2016.
I took one week off from eating clean, and exercising .
I got on the scale after I came back from vacation . I was 121 lbs. I’m between 120-122 lately. So i didn’t really gained any weight but I felt so chunky.
I noticed that my mood was changing bc how I felt. I had to tell myself to snap out it. It is just pure selfish and stupid feeling. I was driving my hubby crazy over my #fat feeling too. He told me to stay home instead of going on vacation in future which is so true if I want to keep my body as #lean all the time.
I have to remind myself over and over that my body doesn’t define who I’m. My body is a part of me, not a whole #me.
At age of 44, I still struggle with my body image and eating disorders.
Some days are good, some days are bad. But I am telling myself that I’m #good enough right now.
And you should tell yourself that you are good enough😊

Finally... the result for the challenge is here.
There were two different group for the last challenge we did. One was for weight loss and the other was for gain muscle/body fat loss challenge. I only have pics for weight loss due to significant change on their weight.
The winner is @maricelah23 and she lost 9.60 lbs. She has been losing weight since January and this challenge helped her to stay focused.
Second winner is @stephigall and lost 7.60 lbs. She has been coming to studio almost year, but was struggling to lose weight until the challenge. She told me that the eating part wasn’t that hard after all. She realized how much she was eating mindless and never paid attention on portion size. Now she is size 4!!
The third winner is @yoly3737 and she lost 6.80 lbs. When she came to the studio first, she told me that she eats out the most of time. I know that this is the most people’s problem. Eat outside meals all the time. She cooks and eats less outside food and her body shows.
And I have three more people won from bodyfat challenge. No pics

FYI: these members have been coming to the studio 1-6years. It didn’t take them one month to lose weight. Most of us so stubborn that we don’t want to give up our old eating habit. What these guys changed was their food eating habit. Their portion size, choice of their food, cutting down certain group of food. It’s always food not the work out that help to lose weight faster.
So... today... before you grab that coffee with a lot of creamer, think again.
@yoly3737 gave up the creamer and she won.
Before you eat your carb loaded lunch, think again.
@maricelah23 gave up dairy, wheat, and sugar to get her body back.
It’s not easy but very doable if you set your mind!!

Ok...we are in the middle of March and spring starts as of today. Summer is 3 months away and some of us just totally gave up what we started the beginning of year. Boy... my phone was going crazy & the classes were so packed.
It almost went back to where it was before.
Regulars are coming to the classes as usual along w a few newbies.
I know it is hard to stick w working out and eating healthy but you know you need them. But giving up is not acceptable. You gotta give yourself more trials.
You gotta tell yourself “let’s start again!”. You just can’t give up!!!

As we get older, our circle of friends is getting smaller.
Being selective with your friends become more strategic over the years for a good reason. The five people closets to you shape your success, your emotion, and your life.
Remember “misery loves misery”. If your friends love to drink every Friday, then you will end up drinking with them. If your friends love to gossip, then you will gossip too. If your friends love to smoke pot, then you will too.
We need people who will challenge you and make you a better person. These people will raise you and be supportive in your life decisions, self esteem, and your thinking.

This is why we have low esteem and body image issue. I used FaceApp for this and I look like a model.
I felt pretty but it’s not my real pic. My eyes are not big. My skin is not that clear. I have wrinkles on my forehead. This pic made me feel little insecure about my aging face.
I know... i am supposed to accept the fact that i am getting old, but looking at this pic.. i am little disappointed at myself.
I read an article about women bring the photos like this to their plastic surgeon and asking them to look like from the pic.
So basically... we want a younger version of ourselves.

I didn’t want my studio to be a place that people come and work out and leave. I want to my studio to be a playground for us.
I wanted to teach my members how to exercise, not just doing the workout like a puppet, how to eat better, not following some trendy diets, how to be You, not trying to be someone else, and have some fun time by yourself( finally).
It’s going on 6 years and it’s still going strong.
I am in process changing my scheduling site, and the sales asked me why I don’t ask my members to sign in.
I told him that I remember pretty much everybody’s attendance, and 95% of members attend at least 3-5 classes per week. That’s pretty much everybody is coming in and out through out the week.

I got this message yesterday and I wanted to share how I maintain my body as how it is.
First of all, I am not naturally skinny. I’m not small framed. I gain weight easily. I have hard time losing weight. I have hard time maintaining weight.
I know how my body works after a lot of trials for last 30 years. I said 30 years, not 30 days.
I mentioned about “discipline is intentional” yesterday post. Plz read if you haven’t.
I am very disciplined when it comes to food and exercise. I’ve had eating disorder since I was 14 years old. Food was enemy until I started to understand the nutrition. I have been eating clean since 2008. I eat clean about 90% time.
I still measure all my meal. I meal prep every Sunday no matter what. I eat the most boring ass food. I don’t really care for flavor when it comes to my food. I need fuel and that’s exactly what it does.
I exercise 6 days a week. I clean studio and my house. I move all the time.
So as you can see, my body is result of dedication, discipline, and patience from my daily life.
I’m 44 going on 45 years old. My metabolism is still kicking good bc I do what I do.
If any of you guys need to change your body, change your life style. Like I say... discipline is intentional!!!

This is very important message!!!
Tag any woman who is interested in weight training.
So this goes like this.
If you are interested in learning how to do weight training, PLEASE do not ask your hubby/boy friend/ male co worker/ gay boyfriend unless they are certified personal trainer.
Every time I see a woman doing biceps curls on machine, I am thinking 🤔 “why??”
See.. these men have one reason to lift “having big arms”. They curl with dumbbells, barbells, cable machine, curling machine, and more curls.
They curl the whole time.
They curl with the intention of getting their arms big and we don’t need big arms. Some of these men really don’t know how to come up with routine that they curl. 8 out 10 guys are curling. If you have gym membership, look around how many men are curling. It is stupid and waste of time.
You know what I do for biceps. I do pull ups, push ups, dips, back rows, shoulder and deadlift.
Why waste time so much time to work on tiny part of upper body!!!
I make food, but I don’t cook. Not all women cook. Not all women sew.
Not all men know how to lift. So please hire a trainer or find a person who knows what the hell they are doing. Look at their body! If their tummy and chest are same size, plz walk way... like far away.. until you can’t see the tummy!

As you can see the definition, being a discipline person doesn’t come naturally. It is intentional behavior that you need to practice, and change.
This is why the most people fail on changing the lifestyle, on bad habits, and even their personality.
You gotta have good reasons why you need to change your bad eating habit. You gotta have good reasons why you need to exercise. You gotta have good reasons why you need to change your personality.
We don’t think about why, but doing it because everybody is doing it. It’s much easier to just go with the flow. Well... that is the most dumbest thing you can do for you.
Don’t get on diet bc everybody at work are on it. Go on diet so you can start to clean up your bad eating habit.
Don’t work out because it looks cool. There is nothing cool about getting sweaty, and pain. Exercise because your body really needs: maybe get off high blood pressure, high cholesterol, anti depressant , or even anxiety pills.
To discipline yourself takes time. It doesn’t happen over 21 days. It needs to become your new behavior and it will take a lot of up and down . Be patience with yourself!!

The one of most beloved hobby for American is #shopping
We shop online and offline.
We shop using this phone with one click of button.
If we can’t shop from online, we drive down to the malls and shop.
Shopping can be fun but also very depressing too. Some of you guys will think it’s not depressing, but it is when you see your credit card bills or bank statement.
Remember... Carrie from Sex in the city.. she was getting kick out from her apt, and she had no money bc she spend her money to buy too many pairs of Manolo Blahnik 👠👠👡👡👢👢.Her down payment for apartment was sitting inside her closet.
I like shopping and sometimes I can go little crazy. And I did with my work out clothes. So back in November, I challenged myself not to buy any workout clothes for 3 months. I did good until I stopped by at lululemon sometime in January. I ended up getting two long sleeve shirts and one pants. I needed some long sleeve and the pants was very thick material for winter. I bought them bc I needed them. Since then, I have not bought anything. I don’t even go to website to look at any work out clothes. I’ve been wearing same clothes over and over.
Out of sight, out of mind.
If you are addicted to certain food, don’t buy them in first place. If you are addicted to shopping, don’t go to the mall. Don’t get online.
If you have drinking problem, don’t go to bar.
The point is that don’t attempt to get in yourself trouble. Don’t be near. Don’t buy it. Walk away from temptation. It only takes one second to make that wise decision.
Ask yourself “is this worth to eat it, but it, do it?”
If not, then you know what you supposed to do. .

Rico is the front desk guy from 24 hours fitness since 2007. Like how I know all my members, he knows everybody. Anyway, He asked me why I don’t come to the gym like I used to.
I smiled “i am getting old and everything hurts, and I need more time to recover”.
Someone asked the same question from Yogaroom why I don’t come much like I used to .
So this is what happened.
I used to lift weight Monday through Friday. I used to do yoga Monday through Friday. I did some my cardio classes through out the week. I set a rigid routine for my #fitnesslife and I followed it for about 3 years.
It was fun and exciting for sometime , but it got into the point that I felt I had to follow my routine( I’m Type A with OCD).I was tired, exhausted, drained from all the work out I did everyday. I drank ☕️ 3 times a day, energy drink, and pre work out all day to keep myself up.
I remembered falling asleep right before the yoga practice. I was useless during the weekends.
I know I needed to stop overtraining myself but my ego wouldn’t let me.
Even I knew I was hurting my body but I didn’t know how to stop. But it all changed since last year. I had it!! I didn’t want to do bc I had to. I said “hell with routine”.
So I stopped drinking energy drink. I only drank coffee in the morning. I only do pre work out a few times. I take a nap even it is 5 -10 Mins. I lift 3 days a week. I do yoga 1-2 a week. I still do my cardio classes.
I still exercise Monday through Saturday. I do something one a day. I look forward to lift 🏋🏻‍♀️. I look forward to 🧘🏼‍♀️ yoga. I don’t dread like I did it before.
My point is that you don’t have to do everything and anything bc you have been doing it and it is in your routine. It’s ok to break the routine. It’s ok to be rebel from your routine.
It’s ok to be a human.
It’s ok to not to be perfect.
I wanted to be perfect in my routine.
Btw... I had a great lifting session today.

Why??? Why not??#selfie
When I was in my 20s, I thought anybody who is over 40 is just old. Like old as 👵🏼🧓🏼
I’m at 44 and feel like an old lady when everything start hurting.
I wish I can go back at 20s and started taking better of myself. I wish I can go back at 30s and started taking easy on everything. I wish I can go back at early 40s and started taking more naps.
We make mistakes but hoping not to make same mistakes.
I took the day off for lifting today. Just hurt and tried. Took a nap for little.
Feeling more energized.
Well.. gotta go back to work! See you guys!!

Weighted pull ups
Yup.. 25 lbs
This takes so much out me that I only do every other week. 5 reps for 5 rounds.
In order to lose body fat, you need to do some weight that involves every body parts.
Men need to stop working on their chest and arms.
Women need to stop working on their butts.
A lot of people can’t do one pull up bc they are scared before they even try. Trust me!! It wasn’t easy but once you get one pull up then it is so easyyyy!!
The benefit of pull ups are
1. Convenience: all you need a bar and your body.
2. Fundamental compound upper body exercise:
Compound exercises are targeting multiple muscle groups. Squats are for lower body , and pull ups are upper body.
3. You can do pull ups as cardio like adding weights, high reps, less rest, or even adding burpees(my favorite)
4. It will help you to get rid back fat Aka back boobies(.)(.)🤦🏻‍♀️
Then how to we improve pull ups?
1. Practice!! Practice!
Set a goal “one pull up”
It took me 5 months to do one( about 150 days.. everyday)
2. Work on other small body parts ( shoulder, and arms)
3. Use band or assisted pull ups( if you have a gym membership)
4. Don’t give up!

Losing weight is easy. You cut down junk food and carbs then you can easily lose 10 lbs within a month. The problem is that you start adding back the junk food and carbs then you gain back or more.
You lost some water weight, muscle mass, and some fat.
In order to keep losing weight or maintaining weight is hard but once you understand how to do it then it is very doable.
Your goal is to lose body fat and gain more muscle.
10 pounds of muscle burn 50 calories in a day of at REST, while 10 pounds of fat would burn 20 calories.
Think that muscle is like high interest saving account that accumulate more interest, and fat is like 0.5 % interest account.
The higher that rate is that you will make more money.
The higher the body muscle is that you will burn more calories.
So what are the steps?
1. Weight training( no 5lbs weight, yes on working all body parts)
2. Eat protein, carbs, and fat. You don’t cut out carbs.
You need a meal plan to follow until you understand how to eat to gain muscle and lose body fat.
3. Cardio to burn more extra calories.
4. Do hiit training.
5. Drink at least a gallon of water.
6. Stop drinking calories( alcohol, green juices, smoothies, fruit juices)
7. Get your body fat before you start, you gotta know where you are. The number on scale is not the way.
I weight 120 lbs and I don’t look 120 lbs.
The bottom line is that the more muscle you have, the better chances are losing body fat. Don’t fear getting bulky or big: muscle is your friend not an enemy!

My hubby an I used to clean the studio for awhile. He would vacuum for hour to clean this tiny studio. The thing was that I didn’t even bother to vacuum the whole week bc I thought that was his job. About year ago, I started vacuuming 2-3 times a week. The floor looked dirty. My hubby spent half of time vacuuming than before. Since last summer, I have been vacuuming everyday except Sunday( no class). He doesn’t vacuum anymore but he gets to go riding his Harley with his friends on Saturday morning. Now I clean the studio by myself. Vacuuming takes about 20 mins per day. Cleaning the rest takes about 30-45 mins on sat morning after the class.
Why am I telling you this?
Since I vacuum all the time, my studio is pretty clean all the time. It’s like the studio is maintaining the cleanses all the time.
This lesson can also apply to our #fitnesslife.
When we cleaned the studio once a week, it took 1 hour. When I started to vacuum, it took half hour. Now it only takes 20 mins to vacuum.
Exercise should be like vacuuming everyday instead of doing it when it is needed.
When people come and tell me that they need to lose 50 lbs by a few months and have no patience for during the time.
It’s like I haven’t cleaned my studio for 2 years, and I’m trying to clean the studio within 2 hours. I think I will need more than 2 hours and my hubby’s help.
The point is that..
Do something everyday to stay healthy. Walking after the meal is good. Cleaning your house is good. Gardening is good. Window shopping is good as long as you don’t buy. Hiking is good. You don’t need to make #fitness as some kinda special event. I, for sure don’t the vacuuming as a special event. I do it bc it is needed. So as your #fitnesslife .

Gym pet peeve #1
Oh man.. this is just RUDE!! I wonder how their house or room look like. It can so nasty bc they never put away anything or it can be really clean bc someone is cleaning for them.
The one of reason that some women don’t want to lift weight at the gym is that they have to look around and try to find some weight bc all these “wanafitnesslazyass” people don’t re rack the weights.
I do my part anywhere I go. I put the yoga block away after I’m done after the practice.
I put weights away at the gym.
I show my members how important to put the weights back to where they are supposed to be. Let them be in their house( it’s inside joke)!!
It’s a courtesy gesture for people who will use weight after you. It’s showing respect for other people’s property.
I witnessed a fitness owner using her weight and left. I ended up putting away. She should know better that she needs to put everything back after she is done using them.
What kind example is she setting up for her members? Bc they can’t see her, she can act like “I don’t give a crap, I will just leave them here, and somebody will pick them up”.
Well.. my point is that don’t be lazy to put away the weights once you are done.
