I have no friends. Or at least it feels that way majority of the time. I think it’s just one of the things that comes with age. Your “friends” become distant, just living their own lives. Not a bad thing, but tends to get you lonely at times.
I left my everything I ever knew for 27 years behind one day, 5 years ago this month. Luckily I was still working a corporate job which introduced to me to a few great friend and handful of acquaintances.
Two years after that, I did it again. Starting over somewhere completely new.
This time I didn’t have the corporate job.
However I had this amazing community of women that were brought into my life by the desire to improve their own lives. My kind of people ♀️ I was connected and introduced to some of my very best friends.
We may only get to see each other once a year in person, but these are the people I connect with and talk to almost daily. The ones that know more about me than most, my tribe.
What we do is so much more than just at home workouts. We connect people with solutions. We become best friends to those of us who need it. We empower, support, and praise. We encourage one another to be open and true to ourselves. We learn from one another. We laugh. We cry. We party. We get shit done.
We are The Goon Squad.
