This wonderful snack is filled with goodies that will fuel your body with the good stuff. After making these bites a few times, I decided to create a recipe without peanut butter but honey and coconut oil.
Ingredients •Oatmeal •Dried Apricots (diced)
•Rolled Dates •Shaved coconuts 🥥 •Mini Chocolate Chips🍫
•Coconut Oil •Honey 🍯

Mix together and place in the refrigerator to chill before you roll into a ball. .

It's Cardio + Core and Chili + Cornbread day... something about the "C's" today... haha... Chili is one of those winter staple foods that fill you up and is awesome in the macro counting realm! Here's my basic chili recipe. I use ground deer meat since I live in a family of hunters but made the macros here in this recipe for lean ground beef. I will also play with the spices a bit according to taste. There's a lot of processed food out there. And just like with all things, not all of it is bad, and not all of it is good. Buying some processed food is okay, we're not leading homesteading lives where we have the time to make everything like in Little House on the Prairie. ⠀

Picking the right foods at the store involves getting familiar and savvy with reading ingredient labels. The shorter the paragraph of ingredients the better. If the names are crazy hard to pronounce and long, maybe put that one back on the shelf.⠀

What an off week! But even with all that went on, I'm so amazed at how great my body's responding to an all #veggiediet (i don't like labeling it vegan or plant-based, bc truly I'm all earthly based! Beans, fruits, and avos, and cocunuts aren't plants when they get in my belly. Lol 😉)--- I went vegetarian for almost 4 years once, but not knowing better then, I blamed my yo-yoing on carbs and so I went back to eating meat. In retrospect, it's the amount of fats and the processed veggie crap I was eating that caused my size to fluctuate so much. Now that I'm following my body's natural requirements, I can't stop eating whole foods (=delish carbs!) and the occasional man-made white bread & veg pancakes (organics only). It's been so effective and natural for my body that I've added 3 more holes to my most favorite belt that I refuse to let go. The belt was lose even around my hips! 👯‍♀️I'm also noticing that I look leaner on my workout selfies as well as my clothes are fitting lose. All around #nsv and what a delish win for me. And, I'm not counting cals nor am I journaling my daily intake. I had to becareful at first, but now getting the hang of it. If you’ve been ordering salads but aren’t seeing the results you hoped for, you may want to reconsider what’s in your salad. It’s hard to think of being careful of calories in a salad bowl however it can have a multitude of hidden calories.
Here are my simple tricks when ordering a salad. Check it out: 🙂🔽🔽🔽:

🔸MCDONALD’S CAESAR SALAD WITH GRILLED CHICKEN: 190 calories (27g protein, 10g carbs, 5g fat)

🔸MCDONALD’S CAESAR SALAD WITH GRILLED CHICKEN WITH ASIAGO CAESAR DRESSING: (DRESSING: 210 calories (1g protein, 2g carbs, 22g fat)) 400 calories (28g protein, 12g carbs, 27g fat) -

As you can see, dressing can add a whole lot sometimes even more calories than the salad bowl itself! Calories can easily be shaved by choosing low-fat or fat-free varieties of dressing or if you’re like me, no dressing at all but a squeeze of lemon will do! 🍋 -

TIP 1️⃣: Know your dressing by reading the label. It will tell you how many calories are in that amount. If you’re at a restaurant always ask for it on the side so you can be in control and use it within means. -

TIP 2️⃣: To help maintain a healthy salad choose grilled chicken over fried or crispy. This choice eliminates a hefty ton of calories. Instead add extra vegetables for the extra room for calories sub as extra cucumber or tomato.

TIP 3️⃣: Salad dressing is meant to enhance the flavor of the vegetables – not cover them up.

🔺Surely, Salads are a great step towards making healthy choice but they are not always healthy. Be weary for everything we add changes the contents of calories.
