I think there's still a huge misconception when it comes to FOOD and getting in shape or even losing weight. Crash dieting where you're feeding your body FAR too few calories always results in gaining back that weight because it's unsustainable.... but having something in place where you actually EAT REAL FOOD- that's KEY! Almost every time I post a pic of me, someone assumes that I don't eat... that couldn't be farther from the truth! I LOVE food! So I thought I would share a sample day in my life of food!
Pre-Workout: Tofu scrambled with spinach and bell peppers, seasoned with garlic, pepper, and Himalayan Salt; Oatmeal with peanut butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and half a chopped date; coffee with almond milk & stevia
I take my pre-workout lemonade deliciousness about half an hour before I workout.
Post-Workout: Chocolate Recover post-workout formula with half an orange or half a banana
Post Workout Meal: Grilled chicken with whole wheat pasta and broccoli seasoned with olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, pepper, and Himalayan salt
Next Meal: Superfoods #GirlBoss shake with cinnamon, blueberries, and peanut butter
Next Meal: Bell peppers, half an orange, and two babybel cheeses
Dinner: Red beans and rice with lean, nitrite-free chicken sausage, bell pepper, celery, and brown rice
Because I eat every 2-3 hours, I'm not hungry which really works for me! I also find that my metabolism is revved up because of this style of eating. I love to mix things up and season things differently, but so much of this can be prepped ahead of time... I always have oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, grilled chicken, whole wheat pasta, veggies chopped... all ready to go!
