MY ADVICE/OPINION ON BUILDING MORE MUSCLE. Many people confuse high intensity with maximum effort thinking their training is intense. look, you can apply high reps with light or medium weight all day pushing through the burn and that's considered maximum effort and fine if your goals are directed towards fat loss or conditioning, but if you're looking to build muscle you must challenge the body by progressing( progressive overload ) on a weekly basis. Whenever I'm training to add size to my frame I'll take longer rest periods usually 3-5 minutes in order to give myself a better shot at more reps and applying heavier weight each set. Decided to get some cardio work in and use my Nike Taining App and do the Boxer Burner workout at home. Got some work to do with that back foot n throwing the combo punches. .
Always fun to Change up workouts so you don't get stagnant especially with those treadmills, elliptical. Etc. For cardio.

TARGETTING THE RIGHT MUSCLES‼️

First of all, yes I’m too short for this calf machine so if you noticed those plates under my feet that’s why😂 also can’t use the seated calf raise machine: A. I have no clue how to adjust it, B. Still probably too short anyway😅 but anyway -
Our bodies are built up of crazy and intricate systems and cells that allow us to do what we do everyday. Our muscles are particularly important for producing force and movement. It’s important to know, when you’re training:
1. What muscles you’re working
2. How to train specific muscles EFFICIENTLY
3. How to strengthen and develop weaker muscles

An exercise as simple as a calf raise, has variations that target different muscles in the calf that provide so many benefits. -
Standing calf raises build your gastrocnemius, which is the more visible, bulky muscle underneath the skin. Although this muscle will give all that attention to the gastroc, a lot of bouncing comes from this movement.

SEATED calf raises, on the other hand, activate the SOLEUS, which is the muscle underneath the gastrocnemius. Training this muscle will actually give you more thickness toward the outer side of the lower leg area. For those of you (like me) who may have problems with your squat, seated calf raises are GREAT. Problems with your squat can be caused by so many factors, one being weakness and instability in your ANKLES. Training the soleus, which has an attachment site to the Achilles’ tendon (essentially attaching to the HEEL) will help with ankle problems and may help improve your squat!

I laughed so hard with this girl yesterday that my stomach is actually sore today! I’ve been so excited for her to visit for months now! Having a good girlfriends is so incredibly important… And yet it’s incredibly hard, am I right? My goal is to always be a very real and very authentic so I’m going to open up about something that I believe I’m not the only one struggling with

Having friends can be hard… Making friends can be even harder. The older we get the less we trust because of all of the things we have been through in life. I’m not sure why it’s not talked about more, how it’s hard for women to have relationships. But I’m here to say how important it is for us to cultivate good strong relationships with people that are worth it
.
Let me say this very clear so everyone reading this understands that You have the right to choose your friends!! No one else can choose who you like or who you get along with or who you feel comfortable with! No one! Only you! It’s OK if you are not as close with that person you used to be very close with… It’s OK if you realize you don’t quite trust someone you thought you did… It’s OK to let go of people that make you feel uncomfortable or make you feel anything other than the best person you could possibly be! Now don’t get me wrong not every relationship is perfect and relationships do require work because… Well, they are hard and we are only human! My point is you’ve got to find people who don’t drain you and don’t make you feel completely exhausted after hanging with them. Find girlfriends that fill you up and make you feel like you were meant to be sisters! My circle might be small but I prefer it that way and I pray daily for strong women to be brought into my life… I’m always on the lookout for that
.
I’d love to encourage you today to pray for a friend if that’s what you need! It’s never too silly for God! If you’re feeling lonely… Pray for a friend. He hears you and he wants to give you the desires of your heart! Yes, women often have a hard time with relationships but there are your kind of people out there! Find them, and love them heart!
