Here are 3 of my fav variations of glute bridges which target the glutes, hamstrings, and core ๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ - @kaypfitness

1๏ธโƒฃSingle Leg Glute Bridge Sliding Leg Curls:
Raise your hips up into a single leg glute bridge position. Your raised thigh should be pointed towards the ceiling with a slight bend in your knee. Keep this leg fixed in this position throughout the movement. Have the heel of your opposite leg planted firmly on a slider or small plate. Keep your toes up (pointed towards your shins). From the top position, using your hamstrings, SLOWLY slide your heel out until you can no further. Reset and repeat.

2๏ธโƒฃSingle Leg Banded Glute Bridges:
For this movement, drive through your heel to raise your hips up. Hold this position and squeeze your glute for 1-3 seconds before lowering back down. You want to maintain a fixed position with your opposite (raised) leg.

3๏ธโƒฃSingle Leg Banded Glute Bridge Holds:
Throughout the hold, keep your knees apart. Focus on maintaining a straight line from your shoulders, through your torso and hips, all the way to your heel. To engage your hamstrings more, place your planted foot further away from your butt. To engage your glutes more, place your planted foot closer to your butt (as shown here).

These exercises are great for activation before your workouts. For me, I want to build that booty, bring out my hamstrings, and maintain great core strength, so single leg glute bridges are a regular activation exercise for me! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

If you have the tendency to eat out a lot, you could be hurting your goal of becoming fit or losing weight. When we eat out, we have less control over what goes into our food, which means we donโ€™t always know whatโ€™s going into our mouths. If youโ€™re counting calories, it can be harder to track the calories in a meal youโ€™ve bought versus one youโ€™ve prepared. And more often than not, you can make your favorite meals at home but in a much healthier way ๐Ÿ˜Œ Also, think about that wallet of yours... Do you cringe when going grocery shopping but easily pull out your wallet at McDonalds or Wendyโ€™s? Sure, the 4 for $4 is only $4 but if you were to eat that every day for 31 days, youโ€™ve just shelled out $134 for 27,590 calories ๐Ÿคฏ and thatโ€™s on TOP of grocery shopping and however many other calories youโ€™ve consumed. The #1 driver of fat loss is nutrition. Food that supports you eating in a calorie deficit, consuming sufficient protein, getting in plenty of micronutrients & enjoying a treat now & again is the best investment you can make to see results. Hands down.

After nutrition the biggest piece of the fat loss puzzle is strength training. Investing in a gym membership or some at-home equipment will pay huge dividends. I know this stuff can get pricey, but you can get a solid home set-up fairly inexpensively. Most of my own set-up came from Craigโ€™s list! I have a whole post about setting up a home gym further down my feed. Itโ€™ll give you an idea of some good basics to start with & what you can add on later. Check it out:)

You can absolutely go it alone successfully. That being said, coaching (both for nutrition & training) can help you reach your goals faster & without as much trial & error. I donโ€™t say this just because I am a coach;) I actually have a coach (both for training & for business.)

But JUST water alone would not be able to move through our bodies and hydrate our cells properly ๐Ÿค”

You know what plays a big role in that? โ €

Potassium also is needed for the process of moving water out of your cells. But hereโ€™s the issue, people are treating salt like some taboo shit ๐Ÿ˜‚ โ €

And for the wrong reasons. The biggest being water retention/bloating (especially in the fitness space) and heart disease

To wrap up the previous thought, without enough sodium, one could drink a lot of water and still be dehydrated ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

Many point the finger saying sodium increases blood pressure. While there is truth to that, (higher sodium in the blood makes it thicker, causing the heart to pump harder) it isnโ€™t necessarily a bad thing because there is NO clear facts pointing to a reduction in sodium lowering the risk of heart disease

Heck, Roman soldiers used to get paid in salt! ๐Ÿง

With bloating and water retention โ€” yes! Sodium does help retain/pull water into the cells. Usually people get bloated from going low to sudden high spikes of sodium and/or from constant stresses from life and dieting; your body is trying to protect itself and holding onto everything it can ๐Ÿ˜…

Hopefully that took some of the pointless scare of salt away so youโ€™ll try the Elixir of Life ๐Ÿ™ƒ โ €

Make sure you use Sea Salt, my fave is Pink Himalayan. It has dozens and dozens of trace minerals that all play a role in how your body functions ๐Ÿ’ฏ โ €
