It’s time for a ♦️1 YEAR♦️ Transformation Freaking Tuesday. I feel like I’ve been getting a LOT of DM’s and comments about how much my 🍑 has progressed over the past year or so. Did you guys know that the fitness related question that is googled is “how to get a bigger butt?”...I found this to be really interesting when I heard about it from a friend who works at google.
_
Anyways...I wanted to give you guys some pointers on HOW TO GROW DA BOOTY if you’re struggling to see growth or just don’t know where to start.
_
1. Stop with the endless hours of cardio. Cardio eats at those precious muscle cells that help to build that booty.
_
2. My top 3 go to workouts to grow zaa glutes are sumo deadlifts, a variation of lunges, and pulse squats.
_
3. Muscle grows under pressure, make sure you’re incorporating enough weight into your workouts to break down the glute muscles so they can rebuild.
_
4. I cannot stress this step enough: EAT PLENTYYY OF HEALTHY FOODS. Restricting yourself & not fueling your body with the food it needs to grow muscle is one of the most common mistakes I’ve seen. Your body NEEDS food to grow. Period.
_
You guys also have to remember that it takes TIME to build anything worth having. My generation is so focused on getting what they want when they want it, but forget that you have to work hard for the things worth having in life. Be patient with yourself and hype yourself up when you see even a small progression 💕

Totally being bitter and jealous with hubby’s results, but honestly, George has been doing a fantastic job of keeping to strength training and gym workouts (even when we travel). He really does eat whatever, though, and it makes me CRAZY!!!

Meanwhile, I’ve been quietly dealing with more health issues the last few weeks. Still working out because I NEED it for my health, as well as eating right (also for my health).
⠀⠀
My hypertension is back (like blood pressure is 150/110 again), migraine-like headaches, retaining water like crazy, swollen face and body, random feelings of nausea, always tired and sluggish (my head always feels foggy), excruciating pain in my lower back...
⠀⠀
I’m trying not to get discouraged, but it’s beginning to affect my mood, focus and clarity. I’m fasting in the morning and heading to the lab for more tests and bloodwork. I’ve got another appointment this week for the doctor to try and figure out what’s wrong with me.

This has been my life the last 5 years and none of the multiple physicians and specialists can find the source of my issues, and my tests mysteriously come back normal. Please take care of yourselves! Today was leg day and I wanted to show you gals what stretches I LOOOVE to do because of how well they open up my HIPS and other joints! 😌

Warming up and stretching your body is SO important before you start your workout ❗️it might seem tedious but, just take a few minutes to get the blood flowing in your body!
Doing this :
✅ Decreases your chances of getting any injuries during your workout.
✅ Decreases DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness).
✅ Increases your flexibility.
✅ And it just feels good to stretch your body!

Confused about the best workouts? 🏋️
.
I’ve outlined the 3 types of workouts to do, about how long you need to do them, and the priority if you can’t do them all.
.
Strength is most important, then walking, then cardio.
.
In fact, for a lot of people, they should not be doing cardio to begin with because they’re too overweight and weak to take the abuse of most cardio workouts.
.
1. Three strength based workouts. Bodyweight, dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, TRX. Pick whatever tool you want, but get strong.
.
2. One short cardiovascular workout. Get sweaty and get your heart rate up.
.
3. The rest of the days, move your body. Walk, do yoga, play a game, chase your kids around. Keep it chill. Or shop. One of my favorites ;)
.
People tend to think that more is better. Despite the signs - injuries, no results, lowered immune health, decreased drive - they keep pushing or give up altogether.
.
Say NO to beast mode. Live at 70-80% effort. Focus on form. Control every movement. And smile :)
.
Take the right dose and be patient :)
.
Tag a buddy who works out WAYYY too much and still doesn’t have the gainz. ----
