It's interesting that often times people hold themselves back (or use it as an excuse) to not focus on their health because they say it's vain. And yet, I find the healthier my body is, the more comfortable I am, the less I think about my physical form. I think much more about my body when I'm unhealthy and uncomfortable than I ever do when I am at my best. In fact, in completely changing the way I eat in the last 15 months and eliminating the distraction of the physical discomforts I was having, I have been able to refocus on the spirit within me instead. That might sound weird, but for me, I find it difficult to focus on who I really am inside, when my stomach hurts, my pants are uncomfortable, and I'm exhausted! Now one might say "connect more to your higher power and you'll be less connected to your body", but here's the thing; unhealthy bodies have true limitations. "There is nothing more pitiful than a ready and willing mind but an incapable body" - Jim Rohn.
If we are to do ALL that we were created for - we need a healthy vessel, full of energy and vitality to be able to do it! I truly believe - to honor our spirit and soul - we need to honor our physical body in which they live. That's not vanity - that's honoring the greatest gift we have been given by God - we have been given our body! <3 #spirithealthconnection #spiritsoulbody
