Looking back at old photos not realising how much my body has changed!
Some days I tell my self I don't see changes in my build or I'm not gaining muscle but by looking at old photos I see the changes
Everybody starts somewhere and they have a goal they work towards each day, so for people that think there not gaining muscle work hard and have the determination and you can do it!
And remember be comfortable and confident no matter what!
1. Slow Twitch Muscle Fibers (Type 1)
2. Fast Twitch Muscle Fibers (Type 2)
- Aid in long endurance exercises
- Fatigues much slower
- Marathon Running
- Produces a very powerful burst of strength
- Fatigues very quickly
- Power Clean
How does this apply to weight lifting?
- When training different muscle groups it may be more beneficial to be training in a specific rep range in certain cases.
- For example the Brachioradialis consist of mainly Fast Twitch Muscle Fibers (~60%), therefore to get more bang for your buck you are going to be want to decrease the targeted rep range.
Although you can target your muscles more effectively by attacking the more dominant Muscle Twitch Fibers, you should still have a variety of rep ranges for your muscle groups to ensure you are induce maximum hypertrophy. If you are short on time or cannot add a variety of rep ranges for the targeted muscle, choose a rep ranges based on its Muscles Fibers.

Finished off spin class with some outdoor circuit training if you’re looking to burn fat and you really want to see great results while getting a short but intense full body workout, I’d highly recommend trying to incorporate circuit training in to your fitness regiment! (Which I tried for the first time in a while today and it felt great)
Let me be honest, up until today I have never tried kettlebell swings and I was always anxious it would hurt my shoulders BUT the to this exercise is you really gain all your momentum for the movement from your glutes because you start in a squat position and it’s an explosive movement. I am so happy I learned this today thanks to the amazing trainer who taught me!! Everyday is about learning and growing
I want to make it a goal to expand my knowledge and expertise in fitness and I encourage all of you to do the same I want to end this post with one of my favorite quotes and I hope this resonates with some of you and motivates you to continue always challenging yourself: life begins at the end of your comfort zone. always try hard, challenge yourself and be open minded. For someone who’s on the road a lot, resistance bands are a godsend thinking of posting more little 5 exercise workouts & calling it Fit From Five or something name ideas welcome.
Here’s a quick simple little balcony upper session for you lot:
3 x 12 Rows
3 x 12 Overhead Shoulder Press
3 x 12 Bicep Curls
3 x 12 Front Raises
3 x 12 Lateral Raises
Remember to do 12 reps on each arm
Hat mir mein erster Hindernislauf gefallen? Ja. In den Bergen zu Laufen ist einfach wunderschön. Bergab laufen war wieder gut und eine gefühlte Freiheit. Würde ich es noch einmal machen? Eher nein. Wie waren die Hindernisse? Ein Mischung aus "ich geh mal Burpees machen, weil ich das nie packe" wie die Halfpipe, "ist ne Herausforderung" wie die zwei Eisbecken mit Tauchzwang und "das könnt Spaß machen" wie die Rutsche. Weshalb hab ich es gemacht? Mein Männchen wollte es ausprobieren und wir sind mit dem Crossfit Team hier. Fazit? Einfach mal ausprobieren und es nicht gleich ablehnen. War ne schöne Erfahrung.
