Diets that completely restrict a particular macronutrient are not healthy nor sustainable for long term adherence.
Take zero carb dieting plans for example which will yield a fast drop in weight, five to as much as 15 pounds within the first two weeks and a steady drop of around a pound or more there after, so what is the problem?
There are two issues that become apparent, asl anyone who has strictly followed such dietary plan:
1. Carb restrictions for long periods of time (greater than 4 weeks) will have an adverse effect on muscle tissue. Your muscle plays an important role in metabolism, it is part of your fat burning furnace, the more you carry the greater your metabolism and vice Versa.
2. Transitioning back to traditional eating patterns once the “diet” has ended will most likely cause a rebounding effect of you do not understand the use of carbohydrates. More often than not you will hear individuals stating that they have gain back ALL of the weight lost and usually gain back more in the way of Dreaded body fat!
The solution? Carb cycling.
Carb cycling is the manipulation carbohydrates from a low to high intake which varies from day to day throughout the week.
What if I told you there was a way to trick your body and even accelerate fat loss through “Carb Loading”? It’s a fact and I can show you how. Stay tuned.. #thisiswhatwedo
