Contrary to a lot of reviews I’ve seen I actually found this pint very apPEELing ♂️
I was expecting nothing really other than an extreme artificial banana like those nasty candies.. but this was actually really damn good! Actually pretty high on my list. The banana base was really light and sweet and the heavy rich chocolate swirl was the perfect contrast. For one of the lower calorie pints? I’d go out of my way to buy this one again for sure. Not usually a fan of banana flavor but @halotopcreamery did this one right IMO!

Raise your hand if you're lazy AF in the kitchen . I live in a tiny apartment and store most of my pots and pans in the oven (anyone else ). And even though I was seriously craving something sweet I was not about to unload everything in order to bake a damn cake. Sooooo a microwave mug cake was in order. Opt'd for a snickerdoodle flavored cake with a hint of ginger cause #tistheseason and cinnamon frosting.
It was easy, simple and took less than 5 min.
1. One scoop protein powder (I used @fitcrunchbars cinnamon twist)
2. 14g coconut flour
3. 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
4. 1 packet or 2tbs of sweetener of choice ( I used maple syrup)
5. 2 tbs of cashew butter
6. 2 tbs of milk of choice (I used cashew milk)
7. Ginger and cinnamon to taste ( I use a lot cause I'm spicy ) Mix that shit together and toss it in the microwave for 1:30
I topped mine with some protein frosting (8g protein #fitcrunchbars powder, 10g SF maple syrup, 50g non fat Greek yogurt, dash cinnamon)
And yes, I did eat the dog hair in this photo ♀️ .. extra protein?
CRANBERRY GRANOLA BARS .
They’re less than 100 calories per serving!
TIP- cut the bars in half and put them in festive muffin cups to serve at a get together. .
Prep Time: less than 20 min.
Cooking Time: 22 min.
Yield: 18 servings, 1 bar each
1 cup low-fat granola
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
½ cup whole wheat flour (I used Almond flour)
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
¼ cup raw honey
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup chopped walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Combine granola, oats, flour, and cinnamon in a large bowl; mix well. Set aside.
3. Combine egg, applesauce, and honey in a medium bowl; mix well.
4. Add oat mixture to egg mixture; mix until just blended.
5. Fold in cranberries and walnuts.
6. Spread mixture into 8 x 8-inch baking pan.
7. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, or until firm.
8. Cut into 18 bars.

♂️All the holiday Halo Top flavors make this decision a bit tougher, but I still can’t bring myself to pay $5 for a pint of ice cream.

Here’s what I DON’T do while I travel: deny myself local specialities. Maryland crab everything? Did as much as I could. Smith Island cake? You bet - and I suggest you order yourself one for the holidays. Sugar-coated Bugles? Is that even a question?
HOWEVER - I know when it’s time to “pay the piper” and scale back - and that’s as soon as possible. Kept things light today (raw and cooked vegetables, lean protein, you know the deal), and added my own baked plantain to this dish in place of the store-bought to keep calories from oil in check. Still delicious, well under 500 calories, and no one is suffering.
