I wanted to get this palette the moment I saw it and you can imagine how happy I was when I received it as a birthday gift from one of my closest friends.
As you can see I’m talking about Huda’s new Neon Green Neon Obsessions Palette.
I usually use neutral shades so it was very exciting for me to try so many bright colors. It was a great way to experiment in what's turning into this season's hottest make up trend - neon.
To be honest I expected a little bit more from the mattes, since I’ve heard so many good things about Huda’s formula. There are only 3 matte shades in here and they look pretty bomb when you swatch them, but you have to build them a lot to show up on the eyes. The other problem is that they tend to blend away. Once I start blending them they pretty much disappear.
However the big deal here are the shimmers. I don’t even know how to describe them! They are very pigmented and blinding! One of the best shimmer shades I have ever used.
But... there is one problem
(See third picture)
If you lift up the first sticker on the back you can clearly see that on the second label is written “Not intended for the eye area”. It’s because the shades contain pressed pigments that are not safe for the eyes within the USA by the FDA (U.S. food and drug administration).
I was very disappointed to find out that these palettes are made in China and still have a high price tag.
I used the Green palette multiple times and it was all okay, but if you have sensitive eyes or allergies don’t use these them or you can get irritation.
In conclusion I can say that I enjoy using my Neon Green Obsession Palette so much that I’m definitely buying the Orange one. BUT keep in mind all of what I have written!
What do you think? Will you be trying them?
