I know this is a little weird but this my friends is my absolute absolute favorite dish in the world. It’s potatoes with kind of a sour creme sauce ish with lots of herbs. It has been my favorite comfort food since I am little and every time I was sick I would ask my mom to make this. I haven’t had it in years because of dietary restrictions.
The last few days have been quite rough because I have been in bed with a pretty terrible stomach bug and haven’t had any food for awhile. Everything made me so nauseous even broth, white rice etc. So today suddenly my body was craving this dish and I listened to it. I didn’t go all the way because I am very sensitive to dairy so I used @co_yo_usa to make it and it tasted actually really good. Normally I don’t eat potatoes but when you get so nauseous that you don’t want to eat anything, I think it’s quite important to listen to your body. Unless it is something that you know will make you feel really bad or is very unhealthy. My tastebuds were extremely happy while I was eating it, let’s see if my stomach will feel the same way;). Anyways I don’t usually share any negative stuff on this account because I want it to be a positive inspiring place. But life happens and sometimes you get sick. When you have an autoimmune disease it can be harder to recover and your autoimmune symptoms can flare up. I just want to share my honest journey and show you the exceptions that I make sometimes. I truly believe that your body knows what it needs and it is important to start paying attention to that. So for me today that meant potatoes with “sour cream”. What are your weird food cravings when you are sick?
