JULY 2017 vs. SEPTEMBER 2018:
Not only did these shorts once fit, but they were slightly too small. Now look at em, they're basically hanging off my hips. I always get the "What's your workout routine like?!" inquiries, and I constantly have to reiterate THAT I DONT HAVE ONE. My weight loss is 100% due to my diet. I honestly feel that consuming dairy products caused me so much internal inflammation that I didn't even realize I had, because I assumed that's just the way my body was. It was the way it'd always been. Once I cut dairy out, the weight has literally melted off. Now this is the part where people assume I adhere to a "strict" diet, that I'm some joyless lettuce eating drudge. And I'm here to tell you, besides cutting all animal products out, I STILL EAT WHATEVER I WANT. Chips, pizza, pasta, burgers. I still drink beer and liquor. THE KEY IS MODERATION. In fact half of the fun in all of this is straying away from the vegetarian cooking I became so accustomed to, and teaching myself to make vegan versions of all my favorite foods. People always think it's harder than it is. I feel that I've sacrificed nothing but have gained more than I could imagine, physically and mentally. I am 8 1/2 months into this whole vegan thing and I promise you the hardest thing to come to terms with isn't what you can/cannot eat. It's understanding that you've been lied to and manipulated your entire life.
