Isn’t it crazy how you can look back & just wish you could scream to yourself what to do? I was searching. I had no idea what for & I was positive it had to be literally ANYTHING other than taking care of myself. I would get new clothes, change my hair, look for a new job, get a good tan, try new beauty & hair products, kinda dabbling a little bit here & there with this entire ‘fitness’ thing. I would either run or follow some video I borrowed, but never understood it’s a package deal.

I FINALLY caved.. a couple years later.. and joined one of ‘those’ stupid programs with those people who are like happy all the time, drink shakes, eat only healthy food & totally are in a cult! 😂

Turns out I ended up surrounding myself with genuine people, who struggle all the time, who love others through tough times, who encourage, who love Jesus, & even people that love beer, wine, & pizza!
.
Emptiness & feeling so unfulfilled is a pretty lonely & miserable world. I’ve been there, when everyone else makes it look SO EASY. Friends, you’re so not alone & you were created for SO MUCH MORE! I promise that feeling will fade & be replaced with energy, love, grace, & a ton of JOY! 💜

Happy to announce I finally accepted a job and I won’t have to be unemployed after I move 😂💕I’m going to be a diet clerk at a hospital just outside of cbus. This isn’t what I originally was looking to do once I moved (I was originally looking to be a diet tech upon passing the exam) BUT during my interview I fell in love with how pretty this little hospital was and my interviewer really stressed to me how they hire from within for higher up positions. She also mentioned how many people working towards getting their RD license started out there and went on to getting jobs with the company after they passed the exam! All in all, it just felt right & I feel so blessed that I finally accomplished this task that has been hanging over my head since I graduated. It’s a small step in the right direction and I can’t wait to further my experience and one day achieve my biggest goal of becoming a registered dietitian! 👩🏽‍⚕️💕😍👍🏽

Having a little smoothie fun with my new straws I got for my birthday! I tried a layered smoothie this time ⤵️
the base is a mix of raspberry + blackberry & the top is banana blueberry.


Mason jar deets —> frozen bananas, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, soy milk, almond butter, fresh spinach, plain Greek yogurt, and a dash of cinnamon 🤤

Salbutes love ❤️. Salbutes are one of the most traditional street delights along with the panuchos in Yucatan. They consist on a deep fried “fritanga” wich is very similar to a tortilla, veggies (lettuce, tomato, onions and sometimes avocado) and turkey meat.

It’s funny because people are divided in whether you like salbutes or panuchos, for me, I’ll alway be #teamsalbut

You MUST accompany it with some delicious fresh natural water. Mine was chaya with lime. The most amazing combination ever.

What does it actually mean: “Tofu, legumes & Co. are good for you”? – What’s the point, why are they so good for your body & health? 🌱Tofu is one of the most famous plant-based protein sources out there. What makes it so valuable is that the protein is from good quality: It contains essential amino acids in proper proportions. But also, peas, lentils & beans enrich a diet, Especially for vegans or vegetarians, this is a great source of good quality protein. They provide moreover dietary fibers, minerals & vitamins which support normal body functions.
Put in simple words: “One” protein consists of a chain of several amino acids – these chains differ in length, combination, and sequence. The piece of Tofu you’ve just eaten comes with a certain amino acid chain. Your body will break it during the digestion process into the single amino acids and puts it back together in another order and new chains for its own use. The body needs 20 different amino acids to work properly - that’s where essential amino acids step in: The body is able to create 11 by itself, we need to eat foods to gain the other 9. A good quality protein means a good balance of all amino acids is offered to the body so that the body’s own protein can be created.

I hope this was lightening the darkness around proteins a bit – and that I did not confuse you even more. Of course, this is a very simplified view & there is SO MUCH more to know about it! Please be also aware that this post is not concerned with origin & sustainability aspects of soy production. We’ve all heard it – eat healthy 80% of the time and 20% of your meals can have flexibility. But what exactly does that mean? It’s common for people to get frustrated and complain that they are seeing little to no progress when they feel like they are eating well 80% of the time. It’s the “20%” that is creeping up on you.

There is definitely a pattern I’ve noticed with people who believe they are accurately following this 80/20 rule and it’s that the “20%” is being overestimated, aka food is being over consumed and then you are downplaying the damage in your head.

1 cookie will not have a major impact on your progress, in fact eating a cookie before or after a workout might even give you some needed energy (okay maybe I’m pushing it) but having 5-6 cookies will definitely be detrimental to your progress.

Take home message – you can still have cookies, but if you have goals that you’ve set out for yourself and you are working out every day without seeing progress you may want to decrease the frequency of your snacking habits or at least find a healthier, lower calorie alternative.

INARI ( E-nari ) is one of my favorite foods ever and I usually have a package of tofu pouches in my fridge, so when the craving hits, I can make them. Foods and a lifestyle that communicates to YOUR body in a way that creates health!
I always add the hash tag #notadiet for a reason. I try to advise people on the knowledge of how to dial in foods that support YOUR weakest areas to create health. I can honestly see why fad diets are so damaging. If we focus on just weight loss as a main focal point, you will at some point see/feel the effects of not making your overall health your main goal. It WILL translate out.
Example. You can take the whole list of keto approved foods and dodge eating greens/ nutrient dense foods. While eating just meats, pork rinds, cheeses, heavy cream, etc, and maintain a state of producing ketones. Thus burning fat, BUT not addressing health!
Fat is a symptom! Not the problem. If you address the real factors of health, fat will flea.
Not only will the contour of your body change, but you're sleeping better. You have energy with no afternoon crashes. Good gut health, with a smooth running GI. No pain, or inflammation. No willpower braking cravings and you can handle stress better.... And yes these are attainable. This is being in a state of created health.
YOU have to make the choice to be the creator of the true health you seek.
Just remember, no drink, pills, patch, and one size fits all diet will be your magic cure. Just a temporary vain mirage, unless you apply the life of creating your health!

《南瓜其實曾經叫「東瓜」!》
南瓜也是哥倫布從南美洲帶回歐洲的戰利品,從中國的東南沿海傳入。
但中國人卻以為它從東北的日本來,而稱「倭瓜」、「東瓜」。
而日本人卻以為它從中國傳入,而稱「唐茄子」。
(這差別待遇也太大..種族歧視vs哈唐)

清末,南瓜沿運河向北移栽,特別是山東,人們意識到此瓜應自南來,「南瓜」這個講法才開始流行起來。 -

#南瓜千層麵 食譜
1、白醬:牛奶小火溫,加入奶油,麵粉過篩不停攪拌,再加入起司、鹽。
2、千層麵煮5分熟。
3、南瓜蒸好去籽攪泥加鹽跟胡椒。
4、白醬、千層、白醬、南瓜泥、起司、千層、白南起千...疊到手酸,舖滿起司,烤箱200度18分鐘,完成。 -

Ps.南瓜是取代精緻澱粉的超推好物,升醣指數低、高纖、富含維生素礦物質,靠著它取代麵包白飯讓我瘦了不少呢!

“A la flamenca” eggs for breakfast 🍳 . This egss are a very traditional plate in Spain 🇪🇸 Although, there’s not an original or traditional recipe as every household prepares them differently.

The magic of this dish comes in the fact that you cook the eggs in the sauce and not directly in the pan, which makes them kind of like boiled-in-tomato-eggs.

As you can probably guess, there are two different kinds of sweet!! I don’t know about you guys, but I have a SERIOUS sweet tooth that can sometimes get in the way of me reaching my goals!! Here is a cheat cheat on what your body needs when it is craving these five categories of food
SUGAR: Your body is likely lacking in phosphorus, carbon, chromium, sulfur, and Tryptophan. To fix this, eat one of these healthier options!: broccoli, fresh fruit, chicken, sweet potatoes (personal fav), spinach, cranberries
:
CARBS (bread, pasta etc.): Your body is lacking: nitrogen. Try eating: things high in protein! (Meat, fish, chia seeds) :
SALT: Your body is lacking silicon and chloride. This can be fixed by eating: cashews, nuts, fish, and seed based products
:
OIL: You need calcium!! Try eating: green leafy veggies, Greek yogurt
:
CHOCOLATE: (saved the best for last) Your body is lacking: Magnesium!! Try eating: veggies, fruit, nuts/seeds. I also take a supplement of Mg before bed every night because it’s really good for your overall joint health and works to prevent injury. :
ALSO just a little fun fact, it is actually GOOD FOR YOU to indulge every once in a while. I know people always say this and it’s difficult to believe, but when you are constantly living a certain way, your body NEEDS a switch up. Eating something sweet, fatty, and delicious every once in a while has shown to actually REBOOT your metabolism. So once every few months or so if you feel like you are platoeing, TAKE A CHEAT DAY!! I have experienced great results from doing so, and it’s important to just enjoy and indulge sometimes. I hope this helps!!

《台灣的香菇跟森林有什麼關係?》
台灣種植香菇所使用的太空包木屑多是砍伐森林而來的。
據地球公民協會指出,台灣人為了養菇砍伐兩千三百公頃的森林,相當於八十八個大安森林公園。
其中杏鮑菇也必須吹24小時的冷氣,碳排比起其他菇種來的大。
嗜吃菇類的我發現這件事其實蠻苦惱的。
飲食是個人的選擇,攝取優質的食物可以補充身體所需能量與維他命、礦物質。
但如果可以,我希望有一天市場可以提供對環境更好的選擇,同時也是大眾可以負擔的。

1、油熱,下杏鮑菇,煎到表面金黃。
2、加米酒炒軟,加入奶油。
3、起鍋前下兩匙醬油,大火收汁,完成。

Two years ago I proved to myself that perseverance, determination, sacrifice, discipline, & hard-work is possible! I was consistent in my workouts EVERY morning, eating clean at least 80% of the time (with treats of course because this is real life 🍕🍻), & I made a choice of what I wanted more! This has been one of the hardest but most rewarding things I have ever done- & honestly, without my challengers, I still would be stuck in the same cycle I was for an entire year!

I am a Jesus lover, a full-time social worker (to a super stressful job), a mama, a wife, & a coach. I am disciplined, realistic, & so imperfect it's crazy! 🔥🐔🥗 Shredded Hot Ranch Chicken 🔥
I boil chicken, in chicken bone broth till done. I shred it in the reduced broth and add my spices. I did a hot chicken blend, garlic, cumin, sea salt, and pepper.
The smells have the future promise of a taste bud ride! I added fresh pico, olives, a home ranch, taco sauce, on a bed of greens. This is also good on some good sourced pork rinds. Or even rolled up in a cheese based taquito 😯🍴🌮

Quinoa nach Anleitung in Knochenbrühe kochen. Tipp: Wenn es ganz schnell gehen muss am besten 5-Minuten Quinoa verwenden. Anschließend mit etwas Bioladen Tomaten-Paprika-Mark, Bio Verde Pesto Puttanesca und einem Klecks Schmand verrühren und abschmecken, fertig! Der Quinoa schmeckt so mit vergleichsweise wenig Aufwand gleich ganz anders. Gut für die auch in der funktionellen AthletenKüche notwendige Abwechslung und Variation!

《炒蛋還有這般功用!》
沒有高湯,但突然想吃味道濃郁的湯麵怎麼辦?
以前媽媽下班已經六七點,ㄧ回家就得在20分鐘內生出營業均衡的晚餐,餵養大聲喊餓、不停窺視廚房的我。
所以蕃茄搶鍋麵便成為我們桌上的常客。

學校對面的王德福蕃茄搶鍋麵也是高三留校晚自習的最愛,在上大學後的某年感冒的冬天,也特別思念那個味道。

搶鍋麵其實是誤稱,原為「熗鍋麵」,是大火快炒食材之後「熗」入高湯,併出濃郁的香味。
而且ㄧ鍋到底,是懶人們的一大福音。

1、油熱,蛋炒熟。
2、加入蔬菜肉類炒半熟,倒入開水開大火。
3、水滾後加入麵條便完成了。

Ps.小時候我媽說,以前打戰要「搶時間」,所以快速的把剩菜喇喇再加熱煮麵,好吃到大家都在「搶」。 其實這個說法也沒有不合理之處(吧?

Questo effetto non va scambiato per una stimolo all’abbronzatura, che é una difesa che la nostra pelle mette in atto nei confronti dei raggi solari con la produzione della melanina.

Wusstet Ihr schon das nur sich der Käse nur Parmesankäse nennen darf wenn er aus den Provinzen den Provinzen Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna und Teilen der Mantua stammt. Die Herstellung wird von der Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano überwacht. Ingesamt sind nur 512 Molkereien für den ganzen Weltmarkt zertifiziert. Da dieser Käse feine Geschmacks Noten hat wird empfohlen diesen Käse zu keinen Kräftigen Saucen zu servieren, denn sonst geht der Geschmack unter. Deshalb werden unsere Spaghetti aus dem Parmesanlaib nur in Butter geschwenkt bevor diese in den Leib kommen um den Geschmack nicht abzustumpfen. Dazu wird eine harmonierende Tomatensauce mit Black Sweet Cherry Cocktailtomaten und frischen Zucchini serviert.

大概只有人類,喜歡尋求這種刺激,從負面的感覺中享受快感吧?

辣椒由哥倫布從墨西哥帶回西班牙,最初作為醫療用途。
於明朝16世紀傳入中國,稱為「番椒」,到乾隆時期才有辣椒入菜的紀錄。
台灣的辣椒可推溯自17世紀時荷蘭人引進,稱為「番薑」。
而甜美肥厚的甜椒是民國80年後才在台灣市場上展露頭角。

#小魚辣椒煸豆乾 食譜

1、油熱,下豆乾煸香,變色後先倒在盤子上。
2、用餘油炒蒜片、紅辣椒,炒香(瘋狂打噴嚏)之後,入小魚乾,炒約1分鐘後下綠辣椒(不辣,當脆口蔬菜吃)
3、一分鐘後下鹽、白胡椒,起鍋前淋一小匙醬油著色,完成。 -
