In a study, 57 volunteers with mild-to-moderate acne were randomized into three groups, receiving white chocolate bars, dark chocolate bars, or no chocolate bars every day for a month and they found that intake of white but not dark chocolate was associated with an exacerbation of acne lesions.⁣

But, other studies did show acne worsening on dark chocolate. Giving subjects a single big load of Ghirardelli baking chocolate, and they break out within days increasing their total average number of acne lesions within four days. And, same thing eating a small chocolate bar a day for a month, was found to increase acne severity. ⁣

so if you suffer from acne, you may want to try cutting off on chocolate and cocoa to see if your symptoms improve.⁣

Včera jsem neměla školu a tak byl "no stress day". Celý den jsem byla jen doma, uklízela, vařila a hlavně jsem měla čas na svojí nemoc. Kontrolovala si hodnoty, dávky inzulínu a tak.
Kopec byl ze snídaně, ke které jsem měla choco rings s mlékem (protein fit, které mimo jiné můžeš najít v mejch výběrech pod pojmem #foodtips). Ze sacharidů jsou 50% cukry, což NENI špatné.
Tak snad si zase nepopleteme termín a kotrola bude v pátek dobrá 😏

Często bywa tak, że podejmując decyzje o rozpoczęciu „zdrowego trybu życia” zaczynamy kategoryzować produkty na ZDROWE i NIEZDROWE. Wydaje nam się, ze jedząc tylko te z kategorii „fit”, bez względu na ilość, zaczniemy magicznie trafić na wadze. To bardzo złudne podejście. Zapominamy o tym, ze każdy produkt ma kalorie, niezależnie do jakiej szufladki go wrzucimy. Wyrzucamy z diety smaki z dzieciństwa, bo przecież jak stracić na wadze jedząc chleb z nutellą? 🤯

Jestem zwolennikiem podejscia - jedz co chcesz, wygladaj jak chcesz 🕺🏼 Musimy jednak wziąć pod uwagę, że każdy dodatkowy centymetr w naszej talii bierze sie z nadmiaru jedzenie, nie z jednej kostki czekolady czy dwóch kawałków pizzy w sobotni wieczór ze znajomymi. Zdarza się, że zjemy znacznie więcej „fit” jedzenia, bo przeciez jest fit, nie biorąc pod uwagę, że kaloryka „zdrowego” jedzenia może przewyższać kalorykę „niezdrowego” jedzenia.

Uważam, że w tej kwestii należy zachować balans i co zwracać uwagę nie tylko na to co jemy, ale też na to ile jemy. Dla osób, które cieszą się aktywnością, dla których nie liczą się aspekty wizualne pod scene fitness jest to idealne podejscie by nie popaść w paranoje i konflikt z jedzeniem⚖️

Here are few tips you wanna follow:

Eat a variety of foods. Include fresh vegetables and fruits, eat all kind of cereals, multigrain cereals, whole grains, beans etc. Take daily dose of milk and milk products, eat lean meat and do not forget to add nuts and oils in your diet.
Try eating unprocessed whole foods freshly prepared at home.

Instead of sticking to one grain, include variety of grains in your diet, one can try multrigrain atta to get the goodness of variety of cereals.

Drink at least 2-3 litres of water every day.

Spend time planning your food at the beginning of the week.

Add a protein source to your breakfast to help stabilise energy levels throughout the day.

Limit caffeine to the mornings to allow improved sleep patterns to establish and reduce reliance on it in the afternoons.

Choose healthier snacks, for example instead of a muffin/cake/savoury try roasted chickpeas, unsweetened yoghurt with fruit and nuts, vegetable sticks and hummus, corn thins with cottage cheese and tomato.

Make meals less carbohydrate dominant and include more protein.

Take your lunch to work to avoid the poor choices that come with being unorganized.

As you start to incorporate these changes in your lifestyle, you will see how your energy, focus and productivity improves. Do not forget that every time you eat you get an opportunity to either nourish or punish you body. So choose healthy foods to nourish the body you are living in.

Soaking whole grains in water increases mineral absorption and digests easier!

So food like oats or whole grain rice, should be soaked for an hour or over night!
First if you don't already make some whole grains swaps. Trade white rice for Brown or wild rice and same with flour and products containing refined flour.

WHAT ARE MACROS⁉️

I get this question a lot. ⁣

Macros is short for macronutrients- fats, carbs, and protein- that make up food. They account for the calorie count on each food, and each macro provides different nutrients and different energy per gram. ⁣

1 gram of fat = 9 calories ⁣
1 gram of carb = 4 calories ⁣
1 gram of protein = 4 calories ⁣

Beyond the calorie count, each macronutrient provides different benefits to the body. ⁣

🥜FAT~ support cell growth, protects organs, helps your body absorb other nutrients and produce hormones. Examples: olive oil, coconut oil, nuts 🥜 avocados 🥑 ⁣

🧁CARBS~ the MAIN source of energy for your body, especially the brain 🧠 Carbs also help fuel your central nervous system, kidneys, and heart ❤️ Carbs are stored are glycogen in the muscles 💪🏼 which promotes muscle growth. So if you work out, carbs are even more important. Muscles cannot grow without glycogen. ⁣
Examples: rice 🍚 oats, potatoes 🥔 ⁣

🍣PROTEIN~ the building block of bones, muscles, skin, and even your blood. The body uses protein to build and repair tissues. It also takes longer to digest, so it can reduce appetite and really help in your weight loss journey. It is the least likely of the macros to be stored as body fat. Examples- eggs 🍳 fish 🐠 chicken🍗 , beef, seafood 🦞, and vegan sources like pea, tofu, and tempeh. ⁣

Every single food is made up of these macros. Should you track your macros? That’s another topic for another post 😉 If your goal is to create a fit lifestyle, aim to eat a balanced diet of fats, carbs, and protein at each meal. If you want to compete someday or do a photo shoot and get a more shredded physique, tweaking macros to certain percentages is more important. ⁣

If you are looking for a quick and easy side dish, try this:
🥦Wash the bunch of broccolini and lay in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
🥦Drizzle on a little avocado oil, salt, and pepper on top
🥦Roast at 375 degrees F for about 15 minutes, being sure to stir halfway through.
🥦After it is done roasting, remove from oven and squeeze the juice of half a lemon on top and enjoy!
