I heard once the analogy that the coconut is the nectar of life for a yogi... it was after a particularly vigorous morning practice where it clicked!
Think about it, we experience every facet of life on our mat- every emotion, memory, projection, subconsciously or consciously, fear, joy, all doubt, a miracle.... the asanas take us to the very epicenter of this human experience (why it's in the 99% practice/experience of Yoga and only 1% theory)... so after ALL of this, we ALWAYS take corpse pose. .
We rest, like the dead
The final act and experience of every living thing!
And then, we rise up again! Resurrection! We walk out of the shala and drink a coconut. The nectar that brings us sweetly back to life. .
This is wear the name @mymotherindia came from... this place, this practice, has given me the chance to clean the slate and create new beginnings, everyday.
