The Wet’suwet’en First Nation is under attack by militarized #RCMP and our provincial and federal governments. .
A court injunction is being “enforced” to allow a fossil fuel pipeline project (fracked gas) by Coastal GasLink access to the unceded territory of the Wet’suwet’sen.
Rights and Title to lands have never been given up, and this project has not been given consent. Individuals are being forcibly removed from THEIR land, and incarcerated, which goes against the The UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Once again, Canadian government chooses colonial violence and oil money over #Reconciliation. Action like this is a form of #genocide. .
NOW is the time to ACT
1. Educate yourself on what is going on.
2. Call your Premier, MP, Prime Minister, and let them know you are NOT OKAY with these colonial actions
3. Donate to the defence fund (link in bio)
4. Share on your social media, with family, and friends. TALK & POST ABOUT IT.
5. Show Up in real life.
As residents of #BC and #Canada, a reminder that your tax dollars are paying for this.
@justinpjtrudeau , @John horgan4bc... We see you. We will not back down. We will not forget. ☝🏾 .
