What do you dance for?
Fun. We dance for enjoyment, for happiness and for ourselves and our partners. Frankie Manning called it a three minute love affair where you and your partner are the only ones in the room, and the eyes of everyone else don't matter. And that's absolutely true.
Don't dance worrying what people think about you, if they're judging you or whatever. Chances are they've a lot to improve in their own dancing (if they've ever tried!) and they know it, so leave them to their insecurities.
Instead, grab that amazing feeling you get when you connect with someone you're dancing with, let your smile light up and do your damnedest to help the one you're dancing with feel the same way.
We guarantee that's what people will be talking about. The perfect swingout will go unnoticed in favour of the couple who never stopped laughing and smiling and people will say "I wanna do THAT!". Tonight was amazing, and we had so much fun. Thanks, Team R&G, you're amazing. 🤩
