It’s one of those “heart skipped a beat” moments when you’re approached by an interiors journalist asking if they can write an article about your house.
I’ve no formal training in interior design, I was a lawyer back in the day, but quickly recognised my love for spacial design, furniture and colour was greater than for court rooms,(although the oak panelling was always spot on 🙊) My passion for interiors goes back a long way, started by my mum and dad who filled out our Sundays visiting old stately homes, sometimes followed by a drop in to some old auntie or uncle who had the real deal in mid century furniture.
So I’ve dabbled pretty much all my days, sticking a border round my bedroom when I was 10, (they will make a return 🙊)and deciding it would be the right idea to paint my mums very cool set of 1950’s @ercol stacking chairs 😱 I know.
So here’s the house as featured in @styleathomemag and if you look at my stories today you can see a snap shot of the article. It’s written by the very talented Alison Gibb of @greatscottishindoors and the photos were taken by @douglasgibbphotography who seems to just work his magic.
And (for no other reason than shameless self promotion) it’s on major magazine sellers shelves including @sainsburys @whsmithofficial and even saw it in my local @coopuk
