Sunshine and a smoothie to start out my day Haven’t been feeling smoothies in months...there’s something weird about drinking as many calories as I like to eat at breakfast. Chewing food signals the cascade from our brain on down that we need to be ready to digest. So if smoothies cause you to bloat, don’t drink ‘em!
However, this morning I felt like I needed some fresh foods — more than I’d realistically eat in any other form. So into the blender went a cucumber, banana, an avocado, tons of spinach, coconut milk, and pumpkin seeds. Verdict: not bad but I prefer my 3-egg scramble
