Touching down on the warm blacktop was a peculiar experience. It had been quite a span of time since the feeling of pavement was felt under his feet.
This city, for all of its flaws and inconsistencies was loved by the man. Perhaps more than anyone really knew. In all the hardships the he had endured, this city had been the cradle that cared for him, the safety net that caught him on the way down. Few knew the fine line he had walked during the years prior, the nearly imperceptible divide between light and dark. The inevitable struggle of life and death.
But he had endured, and flourished. Not only was he on his feet, but running toward only God knew what. And that was the miracle that pushed him to where he was and why he routed through the city center. Let the city be on watch; let it look and perceive the things happening within it. One good turn deserves another, and in this particular bout of fondness, there would also be a spirit of thankfulness. .
“Do you believe in endless miracles?
Do you believe in the impossible?
Do you believe sleep is a time machine?
Do you believe in curiosity?
Do you believe in in what you cannot see?
Do you believe life is a lucid dream?”
