2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣9️⃣❗➡️❗2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣🤯😜 After 15 DMs on my IG Story this morning "no way that's you Man"! I figured I would shed some light on my personal journey. I'm 29/30 years old in the older pictures, 125 lbs. Currently 39 years old at 225 lbs, (got as high as 253). Ditched a party animal lifestyle for powerlifting in 2011. Prior to 2009 it was work, golf, drink and shoot pool at the bar 24/7. I'm not perfect and there's been hiccups along the way for sure. Two prolactinoma brain tumors in 2011 and 2015 were fun times, losing vision in my right eye along with migraines that would drop you in your tracks. I actually prepped for my last biggest raw total (1750) in the midst of a cyst pushing on a tumor that needed removed for 8 weeks. In between those set backs and now, I have managed two elite raw totals, one pro raw and two elite multiply totals all at 220/242. The sport keeps me grounded. My teammates and fellow lifters I follow lift my spirits. And so does @trainwithred and @joiceviets who have lost all their hair chasing me around. I'm blessed to be alive and every rep for me matters. Every rep I get to take is proof that any one of you can overcome any obstacle standing in the way.
