I like it when people wander into my frame when I'm composing a shot. Anyone who shoots street knows the opposite scenario - when you've taken the time to plan a frame, and you're patiently waiting for the "right" person to walk into it, only for everybody around to be extremely polite and not want to "ruin" your photograph by walking anywhere near your camera 😂 "Sorry!" they say, hurriedly changing direction at the last minute.... This kid was thankfully in a bit of a world of his own at the time, focused on watching a man washing some windows to his left.
This week I'm out shooting on Thursday. This year, that day is doubly difficult for me. Not only is it the anniversary of my dad's passing, but my ex also is in court that day to face charges of common assault and criminal damage against me. Anybody who has followed my account for a while will know how significant both these things are. I know that photography is powerful therapy, but I hope it works its magic better than ever this week as a distraction from everything else. .
Thankfully, it's also school holidays, so at least I get all of the Princess Army home this week to cheer me up. Hope you all have a good week 😘
